WelcomeaddressWe are extremely pleased to invite you to the 3rd Swiss Autoimmune Liver Disease Meeting, which will takeplace in Lugano, Switzerland, on March 13-14th, 2020. The meeting, similarly to the previous editions, includes a basic science session, whereby the latest advances in our understanding of the pathogenesis ofautoimmune liver diseases will be presented by the leading experts in the field. There will be alsocontributions from different immunology areas, from whom very precious lessons can be learned toadvance our knowledge of liver autoimmunity. The second part of the meeting will be devoted to the clinic, whereby world-renowned experts will lead the attendees to understand emerging topics, highly relevantfor the daily clinical practice. The meeting program foresees plenty of time for discussions, a very precious opportunity to shareopinions and new ideas, and for networking. We invite the attendees, to contribute to the meeting bysubmitting an abstract. The discussion of their work with peers will improve their basic and clinicalknowledge on these rare, severe but fascinating liver diseases, leading ultimately to better patient care. We are deeply grateful to the outstanding faculty for having accepted to come to our small, peripheral city, that, thanks to the Swiss autoimmune liver disease meetings, is increasingly recognized as the place to beevery second year in order to get an update by the most prominent experts in the field.
