The Porcupine Plain Economic Development Committee, along with the Town of Porcupine Plain, wish to recognize the countless contributions Terry Zip made to our community.
Terry was a member of the Economic Development Committee and served on Town Council and as Mayor for many years. For his contributions, we felt it was appropriate to name our ball
diamonds Zip Fields in his memory.
The p lan te r s t ruc ture was designed and created by The
Design Umbrella, owners Amy Kistner & Tenille Bohay. It is situated at Porcupine Place, in front of the center diamond. Later this summer, it will be placed on a cement pad for extra protection.
Please stop by to take a moment with your memories, while appreciating the
beauty of Zip Fields.
Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It’s important to the person who serves, as well as the recipient.
It’s the way in which we ourselves grow and develop. - Dr. Dorothy Height

IMPORTANT NOTICE
The Larwood-Shaw Memorial Pool Board Members regret to inform our community of the closure of our facility for the 2019 season. It was a difficult decision, one we did not take lightly, but due to unforeseen circumstances felt this was the best decision. The Board is taking this time to regroup and focus on a plan of action. More information will be available within the coming weeks.
Our volunteer efforts will continue with fundraising to ultimately replace our outdoor swimming pool. All donations we have received will be put towards this ma-jor project! We welcome anyone to join us in our efforts by becoming a board member — to ensure this project’s success, we require the support and help of many!
We recognize this announcement is not a welcome one and will upset and inconvenience many community members. There are no words to truly express our regret in having to make this decision, but the circum-stances are out of our control. Your understanding and patience as we sort through the details is greatly appreciated.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Nicole at (306) 813-7299.
Sincerely,
LSMP Board Members Estelle Leichert, Koral Kriger, Nicole Turkewich, Lana Taylor, Tania McMartin, & Keshia Hoffus
