Jean & Doug

Thornton - Grande

Prairie, AB

We left Grande

Prairie, Alberta on

September 22, 2001

on a motor trip

across Canada - a

dream of a lifetime

for us. Tim Hortons

coffee became an

integral part of

our exciting trip.

We watched for

your signs along

every highway

and asked at

shops, "Where

is the next Tim

Hortons?"

From Grande

Prairie,

Alberta to St.

John's, Newfoundland

we enjoyed that fresh flavoured coffee

and other treats. When it was rainy we warmed up at

"Tim's". When we were lost we studied our maps at "Tim's"

and after the fun, excitement and sometimes stress of all

these new experiences we would relax with a cup of "Tim's".

We were on the road for seven weeks and travelled 17,890

kilometres. Thank you so much for enhancing our enjoyment

of a trip we will always remember.

PJ Kwong -Mississauga, ONI travel across thecountry, following the

sport I love, in onecapacity or another, and

wherever I am,thankfully, so are you.Tim Hortons Coffee ...

my official choice forfigure skating types

everywhere!

The Walkie Talkies Retirees Club -Peterborough, ONThe Walkie Talkies Retirees Club consists of a

group of local retirees who meet and walk

approximately 6.4 kms, three days a week,

along Peterborough's Rotary Trail. After

walking, we gather at Tim Hortons for coffee

and snacks, which has become an important

part of our routine. Formed in 1998,

membership in the club has grown to include

over 20 people, with all members being life long

residents of Peterborough who come from all

walks of life.

Jimmy “˜The Iceman” MacNeil

- Brantford, ON

In February 2001, I was asked to

participate in the Goodyear Drive for

Gold. This was a fundraiser for the

Canadian Hockey Association which

would raise money and awareness

for "grassroots" hockey in Canada. I

will always be proud and honoured that

my brother and I were able to be part of

such a fantastic program. It was very evident of

the support and sponsorships that Tim Hortons

has made to hockey across this great country of

ours. Almost every arena or facility we visited had

posters or rink boards showing Tim Hortons support.

This is great to see. The trip began September 27, 2001

and ended January 24, 2002. The fact that every town or

city had a Tim Hortons saved my life! These kids are

pumped, and they are having FUN! If I can quote Howie

Meeker, "NOW THAT'S HOCKEY KIDS!!" and to

me, that is what it's all about.

For 40 years, Tim Hortons has been a part

of people’s lives and lifestyles. For

many, Tim Hortons is a neighbourhood

gathering place - a home away from home.

For others, the name Tim Hortons brings

memories of a special person, place or time in

their life.

Tim Hortons connection with its customers

reaches far beyond offering quality fresh

products, value and great customer service.

This special relationship is reflected in the

numerous letters we receive

from our loyal

customers. As the chain

celebrates its 40th

anniversary, it seems only

fitting to celebrate the

people who helped us to

reach this significant

milestone - our customers.

From April to December,

customers will notice some new

faces on Tim Hortons donut

boxes and coffee cups. No, these

people are not actors. They are real

Tim Hortons customers who had

wonderful stories to tell and we

hope you enjoy them as much as we

do. Thanks to all of our customers for

making us a part of your everyday

lives and sharing your stories with us.

Mario Bianconi & Stacey Bouchard -

Sudbury, ON

I wanted to come up with an engagement

proposal that she would remember for the rest

of her life and be constantly reminded of every

spring. I managed to create a replica of what a

winning cup would say ... Mar. 9, 2003.

WIN/Will You Marry Me? Mar. 9, 2003. I

glued it onto the 2003 Roll Up the Rim to

Win cup that I would eventually give to

her. To my hearts content she said,

"YES". The expression on her face

when she rolled up the rim is one I

WILL NEVER FORGET and this

proposal is one SHE WILL

NEVER FORGET. I told her

someday she would win big

on the Roll Up the Rim to

Win, I never imagined it

would include me. Thank

you again Tim Hortons

for being part of our

special day.

Gerrit Verstraete - GabriolaIsland, BCI have been a "regular" at Tim

Hortons for as long as I can

remember. Every Monday, I take

the 6:45 a.m. ferry to Nanaimo so

that I can continue to enjoy your

coffee and sketch my Tim Hortons

"coffee shop people". They're quick

small sketches, of real people in

real time, that to date have

captured over 2000 faces of

Nanaimo's residents.

Crystal

& Bill Sanford -

Shelburne Harbour, NS

We have a 26 foot boat

called "Haywire". We

spent the month of

August in Shelburne

Harbour. My brother

would row out to our

boat with our morning Tim's. To see him

do this was a true sight. The first

morning we laughed so hard, "What a

way to start the day!"

Samantha & JeffLaprade - Nepean,ONMy name isSamantha Lapradeand my husband'sname is Jeff. OnSeptember 7, 2002 atthe Tim Hortons inBarrhaven a loveconnection wasmade.
