Welcome to the Club ________
Celebrating 30 years in print!
August 2015 National Chevy AssociationTM 1
Hi from Nat’l. Chevy, I’m hoping everyone is keeping cool these days. The weather in June was pretty nice, but July has come in like a lion - hot, humid and wet. At home we had about 6” of rain in a week. I haven’t been home for about 9 days right now and with all that water I’m sure that my grass is more than ready for cutting. It’s a good thing I cut extra short the last time I cut. We made a trip to the Iola Car Show for one day during the show. We are no longer able to vend but still like to attend, so we keep our spaces and rent them out keeping one space to park our car in. It’s nice to see and talk to some of the friends
and vendors we’ve seen for the last 30 years. The weather was hot and sunny, but it was nice to go there. I have some good news for those of you looking for 1954 grill teeth. We will have them in about 3 days from now. The order number for the set is 1937 and the cost is $375.00 for the set. At this time they are being sold in sets only. Seeing as I am really busy today it is time to go. It’s already noon - I started the day with a list and this is the first thing I’m able to take off the list. So ‘til next time.....

Hi there,
I am a long-time buyer and big fan of NCA. I have included a few pictures of the finished 1951 Chevy Styleline Deluxe - even a picture with my friend Chubby Checker!

Hi,
Here are a couple photos I took of my partially complete restoration. When I got the car it had no engine, no trans., no radiator or drive shaft. The gauges were all gone and so was the wiring. It had 3 different size tires and was full of rust. It is almost complete now and runs real well.

Cover Car - ready to cruise _____Greetings NCA,
After 6 years of weekends, vacations, parts from you, tips from the newsletters and telephone calls to Eddy, I can finally call her finished.
About 20 years ago, when I first became a member and was outfitting a ‘54 Hard Top, I ran across a Barnie cartoon in your newsletter (see picture below) that pushed me towards what the finished product is. I hung this picture on the wall in my shop and knew someday the car would be sitting in my garage.
This is a home-built car. I found it in a barn up in a small town in Missouri. I am the third owner and the man I bought it from had started its transformation with a Nova sub frame. I took it from that point to now in my shop at home with some help from my friends, a painter and an upholsterer. I finished the paint job - wet sanding and polishing - and designed the interior.
The car is a frame-off build. It has a bored-out 454 BB to 468, 400 tranny with A/C, an Autorad radiator and core support, two 4-barrell’s and runs like a highway cruiser.
The top was handmade by my upholsterer. I chopped the driver’s seat top bow by 5/8 inch. I like the ‘49 thru ‘52 flat look much better than the ‘53 and ‘54. I guess some cowboys were complaining. Ha
I am sending along some pictures. Probably 2 or 3 emails worth. If anyone has questions they can e-mail me at [email protected]
Thanks again for all your help. I recommend you to any and everyone needing ‘49 to ‘54 Chevy Parts!!
Respecfully,John Bersuch
