Here we go. It’s time to launch

the annual Thanksgiving project

day of Thanksgiving weekend. No-vember 26th and 27th from11-5 each day.

5 lotus redux

We had a project weekend not long ago. Here’s my work in

progress from it. 5 Lotus Redux by zecca. We’re happy to

new monThly clubssea shore Trees by kelly clarkI am so excited! Kelly Clark has a new club! Well

actually two clubs. One is good. Two is better,

right?

Several years ago Kelly designed a serious of trees.

They are just the prettiest ever. Now, there are

new trees. They are seashore themed, and they

aren't too Christmasy. Pop one or two or three

on a shelf for a fun little display in the family room, bath or kitchen.

One series is more tropical and one is more coastal. Take your pick or do them both. There's only 6 per club

and they come every other month so they won't bog you down. Each tree is perfectly painted and comes with a

magical Kelly stitchguide.

The coastal trees are New England, lighthouses and lobster, beautiful northern blues.

The tropical trees are Lily Pulitzer, palm trees and flamingos.

We will have a thread list in November and will be putting together thread kits. The club starts in March of next

year but its always good to sign up early so you don't forget you love these gems. Early joiners will receive a

50% discount on the 6th tree in their club(s)

meredith willett goldwork!

The incomparable Meredith Willett will be here Thursday and Friday, No-

vember 3 & 4th to teach her beginning goldwork class. This class is not to

be missed!

You will receive a box full of all the different real metal thread. Day one

will feature Meredith walking us through the tips and tricks needed to

work with each one and the history behind goldwork. We will learn vari-

ous padding techniques so that on day two we can begin our very own

goldwork piece. You will have choices of designs and work with Meredith

to select the best metals and techniques to bring it to life. All supplies are

The Stwooges are coming along! In the second lesson we gave them feathers.

Two of the little guys are random long and short with burmilana, but the third

is needle felted burmilana. Whaaat! Can you do that? The answer is yes, you

can. Easy peasy, fun.

The hats are all different threads and stitches, and beads.

The hat on the left is stacked crescents. It’s really cool and

so quick. The real show stopper is the eyes! Oh the eyes!

I love the one front and center. Buttonhole around a plas-

tic ring and his eyes pop!

Lesson three is October 23rd.

how do These mysTery classes work?What exactly is a mystery class? A

mystery class is just like a mystery in

a book; it unfolds in chapters. With

each chapter more of the mystery

(how are we going to stitch this can-

vas) is revealed?

We meet pretty much every other

Sunday afternoon (unless the class-

room is booked with another

teacher) and review the twists, turns

and fun of the current lesson. Class

is from 1 to 3 pm. Can’t join us in

person? No problem, we will ship to

you. The instructions have full color

photos of the canvas stitched to date

along with complete instructions and

diagrams.

whaT’s The nexT mysTery?deTermining naughTy or nice by david galchuTTAre you ready for the Christmas Mystery? It's a brand new canvas from a

brand new artist. David Galchutt! I can't wait to show you all I have in-

store from him.

Classes will be November 13, December 4 and 18th and January 15th;

Sunday afternoons from 1-3pm. Canvas design area is 10 x 13 handpainted

on 18ct canvas. Class cost is the price of the canvas plus $20 per lesson

and the threads, beads etc. necessary for that lesson. The canvas cost for

this design is $262.00. If you’re attending in person, there is an additional $15 per les-

son fee. You will need 14 x 17 stretcher bars. *Class size is limited. Please sign up early to reserve your space

and ensure you receive your canvas in time to start with the rest of the class. A $125 non refundable deposit

will be required.

looking for someThing wiTh a slower pace? Try a mysTery wiTh a TwisT classWe also offer Mystery With a Twist projects. These work just like the regular Mystery Classes except you don’t

really know when the next lesson is coming. I fit these in between the regular mysteries. The lessons are about 3

months apart. You have time to stitch the lesson, but still work on your other projects. There are no in-person

lessons. Everyone is an outpatient for this class.

With each lesson you receive the next part of the stitch guide ($20 fee) plus the necessary threads, beads etc. All

the other fun details of our mystery classes will remain the same. We will post close up pictures to the blog sothe only real change is the time frame.

There are three Mysteries with a Twist in the rotation! Row of

why fiT in by zeccaHow could I resist this canvas? It just had to be a mystery! So many op-

portunities for stitches and beads! The first three lessons have shipped.

The cost for the class is the cost of the canvas, $305 plus $15 per lesson

and the price of the threads, beads, crystals etc for that lesson. Canvas

design area is 14 x 18 handpainted on 18ct mono. You will need 18 x 22

stretcher bars. The lessons will ship at approximately 3-4 month inter-

vals. Lesson 4 has shipped!!!

mysTeries wiTh a TwisT sanTa fe felines by laurel burchSanta Fe Felines is a wonderful Laurel Burch canvas exclusive to

us! Yay! We are so excited to bring this canvas to life. Won-

derful happy colors and fun details. It is going to be a great

stitch.

The cost for the class is the cost of the canvas, $312 plus $20

per lesson and the price of the threads, beads, crystals etc

for that lesson. Canvas design area is 12.5 x 17 handpainted

on 18ct mono. You will need 16 x 21 stretcher bars. As with our all Mysteries

with a Twist this will be fit in between other projects. I shoot for 3 months in between lessons but sometimes

it is longer. Class starts November 2016!

It was suggested that many of you would like to take a Holiday Mystery Class but just don’t have the time at the

end of the year. Why not start a Holiday Mystery With a Twist Class?

The cost for the class is the cost of the canvas $305 plus $15 per lesson and the price of the threads, beads,

crystals etc for that lesson. As a special holiday gift we will give 20% off on this canvas making it $244.00. Can-

vas design area is 20 x 8.5 handpainted on 18ct mono. You will need 26 x 14 stretcher bars. Only one more

Sometimes all it takes is a little change. Sandy’s Slide Stitch,in it’s original form is shown at right. I changed the stitch just a

bit by spacing the rows further apart and changing the angle of

the long stitch. It now looks completely different.

More importantly thanks

to changing the sequence

of the stitches it is much

easier to work!

The stitch moves

quickly now and is

much easier to see.

Everyone loves it. It’s

a relaxing stitch.
