Luke 15:11-24, The Parable of The Lost Son HANGING OUT: Make this week’s lesson real: Share some stories about your Dad with the kids. Share some crazy things he did, and share some of the things he taught you about God’s love. AT DINNER: Here are some great discussion starters: - Why did the father forgive his prodigal son? - What job has God given fathers to do? - Why is it important to love and honor our dads? AT BEDTIME: Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse: “Children, obey your parents as believers in the Lord. Obey them because it’s the right thing to do.” Ephesians 6:1 (NIRV) PARENT TIME: What you need to know: Ask God to help you model the love of our Heavenly Father. Ask for a heart that loves unconditionally and always forgives. And don’t forget to tell your dad you love him!
