Stick your deconstruction in the middle of a double page in your book or in the middle of an A3 piece of paper. Use the key to find the features of the text. Colour code your deconstruction key and underline each feature in a different colour.
Complete Silver. When you have finished, explain the purpose of ALL of the features you have identified and write a sentence about each one, explaining their job in the text. For example: apostrophe for possession - This is used to show ownership
As bronze. Use the key to find the features of the text. Underline each feature and label these around the deconstruction. Tick off features as you identify them.
Challenge - Complete Gold and then make a list of words you can use within your writing which end in the suffix -ate, -ise or -ify.
