B. How to Write the Equation into Standard Form When

Given an Equation 1.If there are fractions:

1.Multiply each term in the equation by the LCD. 2.Add or subtract to get “x” and “y” on the same side and the number term on the opposite side.

2.If there are decimals: 1.Multiply each term in the equation by 10, 100, 1000, etc. 2.Add or subtract to get “x” and “y” on the same side and the number term on the opposite side.

3.If there are no fractions nor decimals: 1.Add or subtract to get “x” and “y” on the same side and the number term on the opposite side.
