1- Passenger cabins are usually arranged in modules
vertically on top of each others to avoid undue
complications with the piping and electrical systems.

2- Nile floating hotels are usually and most often
constructed with a central corridor with the cabins
positioned to the opposite sides.
This arrangement leads to a continuous vertical ship
sides.

In very few cases, ships with side alleyways have
been constructed.

3- The room size and required room arrangement, which
are at the top priorities of the owner requirements,
influence the design to a very large extent.

Some design methodology goes towards relatively
small rooms and thus larger number of rooms , and
relatively larger public facilities.
The other methodology goes towards relatively larger
rooms and thus smaller number of rooms, and

Galley and Restaurant Arrangement:
1- The Galley should always be placed adjacent to the
restaurant for appropriate service.

2- The Galley should always be kept at a lower pressure
by the use of extraction fans.
3- The restaurant should always be kept at a higher
pressure by the use of the air conditioning air
handling units fans.

This would avoid the transfer of the fumes and smell
from the galley to the restaurant, and at the same time
assist the escape of the conditioned air from the
restaurant to the galley, and thus helps further cooling
of the galley.

4- The size of the restaurant and its arrangement should
be in such a way as to take the whole number of
passengers in one sitting.
Very few floating hotels have a small restaurant
capacity which would allow two sittings for each
meal.
