1. Perform all work in accordance with the applicable code of Maryland and Montgomery County.
2. Do not scale drawings. Where dimensions between small scale and detail drawing differ, notify the Architect for clarification.
Field verify all dimensions and notify Architect of any discrepancies.
3. Install all manufactured items in strict accordance with the manufacturesr’s written instructions and recommendations
with all plumbing, mechanical and electrical connections as required for a complete installation
4. Items and conditions noted or detailed are applicable and binding to similar conditions on all drawings. For conditions
not noted or detailed, Contractor shall provide materials of equal quality and performance to other similar conditions on the job.
5. Items shown on the drawings, but not specified are to be furnished and installed by the Contractor unless noted otherwise.
All such items shall be of a quality level consistent with the general quality level of the Contract requirements.
6. Field verify existing conditions prior to starting the work. Should the Contractor find, after a visit to the site during construction,
any discrepancies, omissions, ambiguities or conflicts in or among the drawings, or be in doubt as to their meaning,
he/she should immediately notify the Architect in writing before proceeding.
7. Patch all holes in walls and floors, and repair or replace all existing items damaged by the work in the area affected by the work
whether or not specifically noted on the drawings to be repaired
8. Provide reinforced walls and backup as required for all wall hung or supported items where indicated for items provided
by the General Contractor or Owner.
9. Contractor shall lay out space in its entirety to check for conformance with the Contract Documents. Notify Architect of
any discrepancies.
10. Refer to mechanical, plumbing and electrical drawings for notes pertaining to their particular trades and field check against
any conflicts between drawings.

The project at The Chevy Chase Club is a new Tennis Building, New outdoor Swimming Pools, Resurfaced Tennis Courts
and associated site work. The Chevy Chase Club is located at 6100 Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
The Club’s existing tennis building will be demolished to make room for the new Tennis Building. The building will consist
of a tennis pro-shop, tennis office spaces, toilets and mechanical space.
The exterior of the building will remain consistent in appearance with the existing buildings on the campus. The use of
stone and stucco will provide a consistent and cohesive appearance with the rest of the campus.
The existing tennis courts will be resurfaced with Har-tru court systems. A new maintenance drive will be created along the
north side of the tennis courts.
The existing swimming pools are to be demolished and new swimming pools will be constructed in a new configuration.
New stone walls and shade canopies will also be included in this update to the swimming facilities.
