Poem: My Smartphone Isn’t Very Smart
My Smartphone isn’t very smart. In fact, it’s rather dumb. It’s dumber than a doorknob or a piece of chewing gum.
It used to be so awesome,
but now my phone is lame.
It cannot surf the internet.
It cannot play a game.
It can’t take any pictures. It can’t install an app. It can’t look up my email or an address on a map.
It won’t play any music. It cannot calculate.
It won’t bring up a calendar to show the time or date.
It cannot send a message.
It cannot make a call.
It’s safe to say my Smartphone won’t do anything at all. It wasn’t always like this. Perhaps you’ll take a peek? I don’t know why it acts like this. I charged it just last week!

SAFETY AND FIRST AID
First aid is the first medical help given to an injured person before a doctor arrives.
Never neglect a wound as germs may cause infection. A tourniquet is a bandage that is
tightly tied over the wound to stop bleeding. When the skin is cut by a dirty or rusted
object, germs may enter and cause a dangerous disease called tetanus. Consult a
doctor for anti-tetanus injection. When the tissues around a joint get torn, we call it a
sprain. Sprains cause swelling and discolouration. A crack or break in bone is called a
fracture. A splint can be used to give support to the broken bone. Splint is a piece of
wood or cardboard used to hold a broken bone in position. A sling can be used for
support. Sling is a bandage passing over a shoulder to support an injured upper limb.
Naphthalene balls, paints, detergents and some medicines are poisonous and should be
kept away from the reach of little children. Throw or destroy all medicines which have
crossed their expiry date.
