TheEPICtoolisalsoausefulmeansofrevisitinganygenderpolicydocumentthatisalreadyageing.TheMCWexistsince2008;hence,itneedstobereviewedspecificallythedifferentpolicystatements,therecommendedindicatorstobeusedwhetherthesearereallyproducedandavailableinthesourceagencies- eitherNGAsorLGUsInparticular:• Strengthenthelinkagesacrossdevelopmentpillars/multi-dimensionalityofissuesforaction;whetherthepolicyactionshavebeenimplemented;thecorrespondingMCWindicatorscanbeusedtomonitortheprogressofimplementation; ifthereareproblemsandissuesintheimplementationofpolicyactions,thenthereisaneedtorevisesuchpolicystatementsandactionsintheMCWthatwillsuittotheneedsofwomenandgirl-children.

UsingEPICmeansthereisaneedforastrongcollaborationamongmemberagenciesoftheNationalStatisticalSystem(NSS).EPICresultscanbeusedinpreparing/revisingtheStatisticalWorkPlanthatcanserveasinputstotheNationalStrategiesfortheDevelopmentofStatistics.ThisisknowninthePhilippinesasthePhilippineStatisticalDevelopmentProgram.- ThePhilippineStatisticalSystemissomehowcentralizedwiththePhilippine

StatisticsOfficebeingthemainofficeconductingalltypesofcensusesandgeneralpurposesurveysandcoordinatingthestatisticalactivitiesofthedifferentmembersofthesystem.SincetheEPICWorkshophadbeenconductedwiththethreeNGAsparticipating, theEPICtoolcanbeintroducedtotheothermembersofthePSSthroughmeetingsoftheInter-AgencyCommittees(IACs),TechnicalWorkingGroupsofIACs,workshops,etc.Alllinedepartments anditsattachedagenciesareparticipating intheirrespectiveIAC.Therearemorethan30IACsinthePSSthatsubmittedstatisticalactivitiesinthePSDP.Thesestatisticalactivitiesarethecontentsofthestatisticalworkplan.

UsingEPICmeansthereisaneedforastrongcollaborationamongmemberagenciesoftheNationalStatisticalSystem(NSS).EPICresultscanbeusedinpreparing/revisingtheStatisticalWorkPlanthatcanserveasinputstotheNationalStrategiesfortheDevelopmentofStatistics.ThisisknowninthePhilippinesasthePhilippineStatisticalDevelopmentProgram.- TheprogressassessmentonAccessofMarginalizedWomentoSocialProtection

canbepresented tothedifferentconcernedagenciesthataredoinginterventionsandassistanceforthemarginalizedwomen.Theycancomparethedifferentindicatorsfromofficialsurveytotheiradministrativedatabeingproducedintheimplementationoftheirsocialprotectionprograms

- Inthefuture,EPICcanalsobeintroducedtoSenateEconomicPlanningOfficeandCongressionalPolicyandBudgetResearchDepartment sothattheywillincludethedataproducersintheinitialdiscussionofanylaworbillbeingwrittenforaspecificsectorinthecountry.
