So, you think there is nothing fun to do in the Lebanon Valley? Well, my friends, you are wrong because we are an undiscovered gem hidden between two major tourist destinations, Hershey and Lancaster. We take great pride in our Lebanon Valley heritage, our people, our businesses and our peaceful countryside. It’s so easy to take for granted what we see every day. We realize how incredibly lucky we are to have the charm of Mt. Gretna, the quaint shops of downtown Annville, and the natural beauty of Memorial Lake, the Rail trails, and scenic farms. All quite the perfect setting for outdoor activities like hiking, biking, kayaking, bouldering, birding and so much more.

I’m sure everyone knows that the Lebanon Valley is rich with many nationally significant historic attractions. But when was the last time you visited and enjoyed these sites in your own backyard? The Union Canal Tunnel Park features the oldest existing transportation tunnel in the U.S. Take a Sunday Boat ride this summer. Explore the Cornwall Iron Furnace, Americas last surviving 19th century charcoal fueled Blast Furnace. A picturesque ride through historic Schaefferstown will take you back in time to explore the authentic Pa. German Culture. Shop and Antique the day away. There are so many little treasures to find from the Black Swan in Palmyra all the way to the Tweed Weasel in Schaefferstown. We have that great Farmhouse Style, even before Chip and Joanna

made it cool. Let’s not forget the food and beverages. Lebanon Bologna put us on the map and continues to be a regional favorite. Opera Fudge is another typical indulgence, but most of the world doesn’t even know what it is. No day in the Lebanon Valley would be complete without a stop at one of our many farmers markets or roadside stands. The Lebanon Farmers market is a beautifully restored building; originally a jail, that at one point housed the infamous Blue Eyed Six. Of course, you must try our locally crafted beverages from Snitz Creek Brewery, Mount Gretna Craft Brewery, J & P Winery, Hidden Still Sprits and more. Support your neighborhood restaurants, shop local and help the Lebanon Valley flourish.
