Good Friday is a day of strict fasting and abstinence March 26 Holy Saturday Last day of Holy Week, the day Jesus’ body lay in the tomb. Easter Vigil begins at sunset on Holy Saturday outside the Church, where an Easter fire is kindled and the Paschal Candle is blessed and then lit.

Instead, the church will be open and the booklets there, from noon till 3:30… Finally, from Bishop Robert Barron, for those who feel outside of the life of grace: “You heard of my former way of life in Ju-daism,” Paul says with almost comical laconicism. “How I per-secuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to de-stroy it. Don’t surrender, even when things seem utterly void of meaning and hope. You may be on your last legs; you may have nothing left in the tank; you may be moving in the wrong direction. But don’t give up! God’s grace can bring you back and renew your life again.”
