    5. Locate and remove the four screwsfrom the non-geared end of thecartridge.

    6. Once the screws have beenremoved, gently pry of the end-cap.

    7. Remove the cartridge end-cap. Becareful not to lose the small blackbearing that rides in a recessed area inthe developer roller magnet housing. Thebearing is unattached and will fall outeasily.

    8. Locate and remove the three screwson the opposite end (geared end) ofthe cartridge.

    Note: It is not necessary for the shutteractuator arm to be removed, it mayremain attached to the end-cap.Although it is not necessary to removethis end-cap to take out the developerroller, it is recommended to facilitate

    cleaning the contacts that are located onthe inside of the end-cap.

    9. While removing the end-cap becareful as none of the drive gears aresecured to the hopper. Also, becareful not to lose the developer roller

    contact spring, located on the end ofthe developer roller.As on the non-geared side of thedeveloper roller, there is also anunattached bearing that resides in anindention in the end-cap, do not losethis.

    10. Clean off all contamination fromthe contacts using 99% IPA and acotton swab, take care not to leaveany lint in the contact area.

    NOTE: Be sure you have cleaned thedeveloper roller contact springthoroughly.

    11. If you do not want to remove thedrive gears, it is possible to removethe developer roller and then re-attach the end cap for fillingthrough the developer rolleropening.

    12. Remove the developer roller. (Inthis photo, the end-cap on the gearedside has not been removed.)

    13. Clean both the roller and inside ofthe toner hopper with clean, filteredcompressed air.

    If some or all of the gearshave fallen off the side ofthe cartridge, use this

    picture to reaffix them inthe proper location.

    14. To maintain optimum print qualityit is recommended to replace theDr. Blade assembly each cycle. Toremove the Dr. Blade take out thetwo screws that hold the blade in

    place.

    15. Once the blade is removed, fill withtoner and re-assemble in reverse order.
