This wide shot establishes the surroundings and the characters action/position in the beginning of the video. The video instantly conforms to the stereotypes of an indie genre because of the characters costume and its unusual setting.

This extreme wide shot shows all three band members . At this part of the song the lyrics are not amplified but the pace of the song is in time with the camera. The video is shot in a sepia tone which creates an urban atmosphere often used in indie or alternative music videos.

This long shot shows the three band members in a different position whilst still playing the instruments. Unlike most videos, there is no references to other texts which conforms to the alternative genre.

This medium close up of the vocalist is a typical convention of Goodwin's theory. In this part we see the characters facial expressions close up and it appears rare in this video to see them. This could be contradicting the music and visuals and subverting from the conventions.

This low angle shot of the lights moving along the floor is illustrated by the music and visuals ‘See the light surrounding you’. The sun setting in the follows the storyline as the lights travel through the urban area, again there are no other people around making the audience focus on the band and main characters.

This medium close up of the female character in the video allows us to see her facial expressions and body movements. It shows us that she looks worried and is illustrated by the lyrics. Her costume also links in with the indie/urban setting and genre of the video. There is no voyeurism within this video or particular treatment towards women.

This extreme long shot follows the female character along the road. Because the movement of the lights and camera movement pace is slow, the atmosphere created is calm and conforms to an indie genre. In comparison to a rock genre there would be fast pace movement and a lot more happening within the clip.

This wide shot again shows the three band members from a different angle. This part of the clip the lights are lit up and again there is a relationship between the lyrics and visuals as the lights are surrounding the band. In this part there appears to have more close ups of the main vocalist then any other part of the music video.

This high angle shot gives an overall view of the band and the lights surrounding them, linking the visuals and lyrics by illustrating them. This ending scene could be stereotype from a rock genre because of the dark lighting and close up of the guitar and drums.
