wins and 11 placings, winning three times over 400

metres at Warragul (22.90), with single wins over 298

two bitches, whelped in December 2011 by Collision,

four dogs and four bitches, whelped in April 2014, by

Knocka Norris, and four dogs and four bitches, whelped

in January 2015 by El Grand Senor.

Belinda Harley, manager of the Domino syndicate,

registered the second Barcia Bale litter, which has three

dogs and one bitch, from the well bred, lightly raced

bitch, Largo’s Mistress (May 2013 Collision x Domino

Vitali), whose dam is by Bond x Golorinda (Token

Prince x Pearl Mint).

She is from a litter which included, Domino’s Gift,

Bella Vitali, Disco Volente, Domino Petacchi, Joveanty

Shark and Stella Etoile.

On the track she only raced three times, for one

placing, finishing second over 460 metres at Geelong, in

March 2015, beaten 3.73 lengths in 25.83.

Fabregas litter

YARRAVILLE breeder, Jarrod Fry has a nice litter of

nine pups on the list this week by the 2012 National

Sprint Championship winner, Fabregas (October 2010

Bombastic Shiraz x Wicked Witch).

The five dogs and four bitches, are from the

beautifully bred, Paul Wheeler bred bitch, Reiko Bale

(October 2010 Yahoo Omar* x Zambola Bale), whose

dam is by Collision x Maple Bale (Spiral Nikita* x Vista

Bale).

She is from a litter which included Phenom Bale,

Quartz Bale, Serco Bale, Tilla Bale, Udon Bale and

Vanger Bale, with their dam also producing winners

from her litters by Go Wild Teddy and Taylors Sky*.

Commings, the litter of four dogs and three bitches are

from the well bred, 2001 AWM Group 2 Distance

and 525 metres (29.89), three times over 515 metres at

Sandown (29.92), where she also won twice over 595

She has some good winners on file from each of

her first three litters, whelped in August 2013 by El

Grand Senor, May 2014 by Dyna Tron and February

2014 by Barcia Bale.

She was an extremely versatile sprinter-stayer on

the track, winning in smart times on both city tracks,

then stepping up to middle distance and finally showing

her brilliance as a stayer, winning the Group 2 Distance

TALKING BREEDING

Continued

Five Kinloch Brae* litters

THIS week’s Victorian list has been dominated by the

five litters by International stud success, Kinloch Brae*

(August 2005 Craigie Mo Town x Greys Free Style).

His five litters on this week shows how highly he

is regarded by Victorian breeders, following the results

of his first two crops of pups to race here.

Brunswick Breeder Paddy Twohig is certainly a

big fan, with two litters by him on this week’s list.

The first has two dogs and five bitches, from the

beautifully bred, 2012 Group 2 Lismore Cup winner,

Ima Geisha Girl (October 2010 Bombastic Shiraz x

Elite Oriental), whose dam is by Elite State x Oriental

Angel (Knockabout Wok x Anniston).

She is from a handy litter, which included

Shangahi Rose, Sheza Pleaser, Transcend Time and

Vehemently, with their prolific producing dam also

having a long list of winners on file from her other

litters, by Bombastic Shiraz, Collision, Made To Size,

Outa Credit, Pure Octane, Spring Gun and Where’s

Pedro, dating back to December 2008.

Ima Geisha Girl raced 32 times for the good

record of 17 wins and seven placings, winning four

times over 525 metres at The Meadows (29.60), three

times over 515 metres at Sandown (29.39), three times

over 425 metres at Bendigo (23.68), twice over 460

metres at Warragul (25.60) and also over 450 metres at

Warrnambool (25.36), 350 metres at Healesville

(18.99), 450 metres at Ballarat (25.12), 520 metres at

Lismore (29.81) and 520 metres at Albion Park (30.00).

She is a proven producer, with three previous

litters on file, whelped in January 2013 by Brett Lee

and April 2014 by Magic Sprite, both litters bred by

Reg Kay, then a litter by Cosmic Rumble, whelped in

2015, bred by Churchable breeder, Casey Dargusch.

Paddy’s second Kinloch Brae* litter, has one dog

and five bitches, from one of Ima Geisha Girl’s

daughters, the lightly raced, Irisize (July 2013 Brett Lee

x Ima Geisha Girl).

She is from a litter which included Ima Talent,

Pace Blitz, Pop The Cork and Venom Strikes.

On the track she raced five times for three wins

and one second, all over 431 metres at Ipswich (25.11).

Victorian readers will be familiar with the deeds

of the Jason Thompson trained, Pop The Cork, who has

raced 35 times for 17 wins and four placings.

Bradley’s Star litter DOREEN breeder, Bradley DeBono has the next of the

Kinloch Brae* litters, which has six dogs and two

bitches, from the well bred bitch, Punk Star Lass (May

2012 Talk’s Cheap x Punk Portrait), whose dam is by

Primo Uno x Punk Star (Lansley Bale x Hoppy’s Star).

She is from a litter of three named which included

Pink Panther and Punk Pirate, with their dam also

producing winners from litters by Big Daddy Cool,

Vapour Whirl and Where’s Pedro.

On the track she raced 83 times for eight wins and

From the mailbox

Follow up from

Last week.

More on the Marley Girl

Litter. LAST WEEK in the Mailbag segment, we covered a

litter of seven dogs and five bitches, from Longwood

breeder Maureen Barry, by Group 1 Vic Peters Classic

winner Spring Gun, from the beautifully bred bitch,

Marley Girl (December 2010 Mogambo x Girl Aloud),

whose dam is by Spiral Nikita* x Crystal Entity (Just

The Best x Graceful Affair).

When we first put the story onto the website,

there were a couple of minor errors, which were

quickly corrected, so most people wouldn’t have

noticed.

In making the corrections, I realized there was

additional material I had researched, but not been able

to use in the space I had allocated.

I have decided to include that detail this week to

go with the great photo of Marley Girl, watching over a

couple of the pups, who are now just over 13 weeks

old.

The additional information I wanted include was the

details of the race records of Marley Girl’s litter.,

which are as follows:

Greyhound Starts 1sts 2nds 3rds

Evie’s Entity F 51 20 14 1

Gambo Girl F 30 9 5 2

Hez Aloud M 13 2 3 1

Heza Hustler M 26 6 2 1

Lango F 33 6 4 9

Loud One F 36 5 7 4

Marley’s Girl F 30 10 6 0

Scooter’s Girl F 5 1 0 0

Zoenah’s Entity F 50 13 11 3

Totals 274 72 52 21

As we told you last week, the litter’s combined stake

earnings exceed $150,000.

Clarifying the race record of Evie’s Entity, she

was a finalist in the Group 1 Sapphire Classic, Group 2

Warragul Cup and Group 2 Horsham Cup.

Zoenah’s Entity recently became a proven brood

bitch with the win of Billy’s Bake at Sandown on

November 24. He has now raced eight times for three

wins and four placings. Roger Clark

BALLARAT CUP FINAL - FROM A

BREEDING PERSPECTIVE.

UNDER-RATED Group 1 winning sire, Knocka Norris

Has three runners in tonight’s $77,000 to the winner,

Ballarat Cup Final, all with a chance too, based on their

pre-post betting prices, and on their heat winning

performances.

Whelped in February 2006, Knocka Norris is by

2003 National Sprint Championship winner, Elite State

(Just The Best x Spark Again) from the beautifully bred

bitch, Oriental Angel (Knockabout Wok x Anniston),

whose dam is by Fortified Speed* x Goddess Of Fire

(Light Of Fire x Tranquil Flame).

He is from a litter which included, Dragon Angel,

Elite Angel, Elite Oriental, Enjoy Inn, Lion’s Den, Oh

June 2007 by Surf Lorian, September 2008 by Bond

and April 2009 by Black Enforcer.

Knocka Norris raced 32 times for the outstanding

record of 21 wins and two placings, with his major

achievements being his win in the 2008 Group 1

National Sprint Championship at Wentworth Park

(29.83) and his 25.43 Track record over 457 metres at

the Gold Coast.

According to Greyhound-Data rating, his top 20

named offspring (from 1239 named) are: Unlawful

Entry (x She Ain’t Late), 2012 Group 1 Golden Easter

Egg winner Don’t Knocka Him (x Surf Queen), Punch

One Out (x Little Egyptian), Farmor Las Vegas (x

Farmor Cee You), Boris Fields (x Sonnet’s Image),

Xtreme Knocka (x Misty Fields), Natural Power (x

Winning Shiraz), Whodat Knockin’ (x Shanlyn

Supreme), Mr. Clydesdale (x Takeover Teddy),

American Monster (x Father Of Mine), Burnt Fuse (x

Ebony Jess), Top Story (x Bomber Babe), Knocka’s

Return (x Winning Shiraz), Frosty Jay Jay (x Slick

(x All Fired Up), Noar In Knocka (x Chloe’s War),

Knocka Knows All (x Miss Venamite), Breckenridge

(x Arolok Bounce) and Johnny Fire (x Gunna Oz).

Two of his top 20 offspring, Judicial Man and

American Monster are in tonight’s Ballarat Cup final

and the tip for Omen punters, could be American

Monster, whose dam, Father Of Mine (February 2008

Brett Lee x Brandeen Misty) has a litter of three dogs

and eight bitches, reviewed off this week’s Victorian

Litter Registrations list, featured on page of this week’s

edition.

American Monster also has more than just omen

Third at Ballarat 450 metres October 29, seventh there

November 7, and third over 425 metres at Bendigo on

November 23 before stepping up in distance and class at

Sandown (SAP), 515 metres November 27.

Came from box eight and was beaten 8.46 lengths

when fourth in the race won by He’s Loaded 30.06.

Hard to get across from the outside first up over the 515

metres at Sandown. Will improve with experience.

BODA BODA

(Black dog, August 2014 Farley Turbo* x Mizzy

O’Hara).

Trained at Devon Meadows by Marlene Schmidt.

12 starts now for one win and five placlings, fifth

Warragul, seventh Sandown, third Cranbourne, then

equal third Ballarat 545 metres, before last start third at

Sandown (SAP) 595 metres, November 27, beaten 5.8

lengths, from box four, in the race won by Crazed

Blaze (34.98).

That was a good effort and he’ll be much better for the

experience of that run, next start,

RIVETING

Black dog, November 2014 Swift Fancy x Ronray

Disco).

Trained at Devon Meadows by Karen Leek.

Touted as a star in the making and looked unlucky when

stepped up in class and distance over 515 metres at

Sandown (SAP) November 27, from box six, finishing

second behind King Fipa (29.72, beaten 2.63 lengths.

Only had the three starts before than for wins over 460

metres at Warragul (25.60) on November 8, then 350

metres at Healesville (19.09) on November 13, then

fifth there November 20, beaten 8.5 langths.

Certainly shows plenty of promise and worth following

as he rises through the grades.
