Successfully carry out real-time casing annulus pressuremonitoring in a subsea HP/HT exploration wellTotal E&P Norge recently drilled an HP/HT subsea exploration well on theNorwegian Continental Shelf (875 bar, 180 °C). Through case studyanalysis, you will understand how, due to the HP/HT conditions, casingand tubing designs were subject to rigorous stress analysis:● Understand why Total E&P Norge decided to run acoustic wireless

She is Manageror Drillbench consultancy services in SPT Group, performing studies in dynamic modeling within flow assurance, dynamic well control and

dynamic hydraulics and temperature effects.

nteractive Workshop C: 15:00- 18:00Develop sustainable HP/HT well integrity for the future in your HP/HT projectsSenior Scientist Preben Randhol and Research Director Inge Manfred Carlsen from SINTEF Petroleum Research will guide you through this interactive workshopusing case study examples.During the in-depth discussion session, you will have the opportunity to exchange your experience and share your ideas:

Explore the status of sustainable well integrity and lessons learnedUnderstand the major issues and challenges with HP/HT well integrityGet to grips with prediction and monitoring issuesCarry out effective well integrity managementGain insight into which remediation possibilities existDetermine possible well design improvements for future wells

Meet your expert workshop facilitators:Preben Randhol, Senior Scientist, SINTEF PETROLEUM RESEARCHDr. Preben has 12 years of experience conducting international R&D projects for the petroleum industry. He has workedclosely with the industry on mineral deposition and well technology projects. Current position is Senior Scientist at ProductionTechnology. Recent experience is on projects for improved well integrity on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.nge Manfred Carlsen, Research Director, SINTEF PETROLEUM RESEARCHnge has over 30 years international experience as an engineer and research manager in the petroleum industry. Main fields

of interest is related to advanced well construction including studies on well integrity. Current position is as a ResearchDirector for Production Technology at SINTEF Petroleum Research.

nteractive Workshop B: 11:45- 14:45Calculate and compare the true cost of high-density completion and workover brines inHP/HT well constructionsThe true cost of a high-density completion and workover brine is more than just its purchase or rental price. Fluid handling, transport, waste disposal and HSE riskall add to the final bill paid by you. In order to make an informed brine purchasing decision the HSE risk posed by the brines must be systematically quantified andncluded in the overall cost equation.

This interactive session will present a methodology for comparing the overall cost and HSE risk of HP/HT completion brines. The methodology allows you tocompare brines with different pricing models (e.g. direct purchase versus rental) and calculate the overall cost associated with using the fluid. Supported byBrineWise™, an easy to use Excel tool, the method is systematic and comprehensive yet fast and easy to use.BrineWise™ allows you to visualise the impact that using high-density brine has across the board on the economics of a HP/HT well construction project. With no simulations and no statistics, the tool gives a clear and unbiased overview of the true costs of using high-density brine systems.nput and calculations cover the following areas:

1. The cost of brines with different pricing models2. Brine transport risk and costs3. The cost of using the brines including:

a. Sub-optimal rig time, such as flow-back time for well testingb. Waste volumes and disposal costs, including contaminated produced waterc. Handover to production and clean upd. Normal operations-related HSE costs

4. The cost of HSE risk potential and potential for incident-related legal costs and liabilitiesUnderstand how the ability of BrineWise ™ to calculate and present all brine-related costs makes it a powerful tool for supporting informed brine-purchasing decisions.
