Prof. Ajay Ruhela rendered the welcome note. He gave a formal start to the program and began with explaining entrepreneurship requires passion, determination, a certain doggedness, and the ability to innovate. Running a small or medium enterprise takes a huge equal amount of courage and a pinch of madness too. However, the most important attribute ought to be passion & creativity.

It is often called ‘thinking outside the box’ and is all about avoiding the more normal, the most orthodox, the prosaic solution, and thinking innovatively to tackle a problem. Everyone has potential to be creative; it just needs to be harnessed, nurtured and strengthened. Learning a new art form has been shown to be one of the best methods to develop creative skills for problem

solving, something that is of immense value in running a business. Prof. Ajay Ruhela Director, FOE, while interacting with the students talked about two successful people.

First story based on an India born American a mathematician by profession who realize that a company manufacturing a weather monitoring system is in a big cost. Then he designed and developed a low-cost weather monitoring system for society which became very popular in India. He is from mathematics background but he follows his own passion.

Second Story based on a person who did MBA and working in MNC Sonipat, started his own start-up to supply tea to the people employed in offices working in night. His daily sell 10000 cups of tea approx. from 12 AM to 04 AM in 7 KM radius.

In addition, he clarified students that value creating model , a Horse-Shoe shaped formula in which starting from the left upper side to right upper side comes from Innovation, R&D, Design, Manufacturing, Branding and Retailing. While concluding, he quoted that “First step to innovation is to identify real life problem”.

Ms. Vaishali Dhingra (Jt. Registrar, TMU) praised all the participants to be a part of this camp. Dr. Dhingra gave examples of people like Mansukh Bhai Prajapati & Mumbai Dabbawallas.

Mansukh bhai Prajapati, a traditional clay craftsman, has transformed traditional clay items into an innovative range of products which he calls Mitticool’. The Better India sheds lights on the entrepreneurial journey of this tenacious innovator. Mansukh bhai got an idea to make a fridge out of clay. He invented “Mitticool” which runs without electricity and also preserves the original taste of the food items.

Mumbai Dabbawallas which is a huge chain of people who manage to provide food to the offices all over Mumbai. Since 1890, Dressed in white outfit and traditional Gandhi Cap, Mumbai Army of 5,000 Dabbawallas fulfilling the hunger of almost 200,000 Mumbaikar with home-cooked food.

Mr. Mahendra Gupta (Head, ASL, Ghaziabad) introduced himself to the students. He had done 2 years job in a reputed company and then left the job and came into the profession of entrepreneurship. He has his own start-up UDYAM and provides help to various other start-ups. He interacted with participants and spoke about the basic concepts of becoming a successful entrepreneur.

He talked about how we can make our ecosystem richer with technologies and make life easier. He clarified how the government is helping the students having a great idea of start-ups in starting their business by providing various facilities. He explained 14 set of competencies in people. He showcased a successful business key model which helped students understand how a business model looks like.

Dr. P. B Singh (MJPR University, Bareilly) had discussed about the basic difference between the businessman and an entrepreneur. He explained that an entrepreneur invests first and then spend instead of other way around. He inspired students by giving the examples of various successful entrepreneurs like Jack Maa (Founder, Alibaba) and Robert Kyoski (Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad). He

clarified the ways of becoming a successful entrepreneur.

According to him:

• If we want to be an entrepreneur we must think of being successful.

• We must come out of our comfort zone to get success.

• We must have positive attitude.

• We must have proper knowledge in particular field.

He also motivated students by saying that everyone has the capability of achieving their goals but the only thing which is needed is that one should come out of his comfort zone and make world the classroom. At last he quoted that Successful people always think differently, so we should always try to think as creative as we can.

Sapling: An initiative

The earlier initiative taken by the FOΞDC, E-Cell on the continuation of the trend of giving bouquet to our loved ones as a symbol of care and love. But with this ever-growing world and mind sets, E-Cell has initiated a new idea which can be a revolutionary change in the art of giving a unique souvenir to our beloved ones with its own ecological and social benefits. FOΞDC, has decided to put forward a step towards a new and eco-friendly way of fulfilling the ceremonies of relations. The outset of offering living plants has sparked a new era of making the eco-system healthy along with the social

relations as well. This idea is valuable as environmental point of view. It is because when we give such living entities to any of our dignitaries, it spreads the greenery and various biological blessings of nature throughout the world. The plants, when offered are just small enough to be carried without any difficulty and can be planted in the more fertile soil like in the gardens of your homes and offices as well. These small living creatures can be grown as big as a large tree if their caring is optimally adjusted. its value is reflected when it depicts as an epitome for carving a new thinking of caring and respect for yourself and for the precious eco-system. This new idea taken by

FOΞDC is a unique and beneficial way of spreading both the greenery. With the ever-going passage of time, surely this new way will be a trend for the growing generations.

Mr. Rishabh Jain

Student Feed Back I have attended several workshops but this workshop on Entrepreneurship lighted up a fire inside me to make up a new plan by realizing or seeking the problem around us, finding a solution and executing it with the right positioning. Under the guidance of our Chief Guest, Prof. P. B. Singh and other skilled experts, Dr. Vaishali Dhingra, Prof. Ajay Ruhela, Mr. Mahendra K Gupta, we got the opportunity to enhance new ideas in order to achieve success by thinking and plan ideas out of the box. I was very influenced by a line said by Prof. P. B. Singh that the "Man is influenced by the company he keeps". In addition to this, he said that-"Our social circle should be qualitative not quantitative". It was a great opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful camp, which would help to trace our paths towards Success.

Anshika Sehgal (B. Sc [H] Chemistry)

This was my first workshop on Entrepreneurship. Everyone wants to be his/her own Boss in any field and if we talk about our jobs, then I saw my relatives that how they were frustrated with their job but they have to do it because they have no other option for earning. Decision and time are two factor which leads to a successful life. In this Camp, I feel that if I can think out of box, an idea to solve problem for society and execute it, which makes me happy.

Manali Sharma (B. Sc [H] Chemistry)

The very first camp attended today, was proved to be very valuable. As far as my personal views regarding this camp is concerned, I can probably say surely will spark the idea in my mind to initiate something big and unique. The valuable words delivered by the galaxy of intellectuals have taught me various concepts and ethics of a successful start-up and even make me realize the important components of life which lead to success. I am feeling fortunate to be a part of this valuable camp.
