A calorimetric probe

• A high-temperature calorimetric probe was shown to be a reliable method of measuring temperatures in argon and helium plasma jets in the range 2000 to 10 000 K.

• A calorimetric probe for plasma diagnostics is presented, which allows measurements of the power taken by a test substrate.

CALORIMETRIC METHOD• The principle for measuring the incoming power is based on the rate of

change in the temperature of a test substrate, dTS / dt, which implies measuring the temperature characteristic of the heating process when the probe is exposed to an energy flux and the following cooling without this energy flux. The change in the heat content enthalpy (热函) HS of the test substrate can be described by:

(1) where CS is the effective heat capacity of the substrate including the

connected wires and the interaction with the holder.说明:焓是物体的一个热力学能状态函数,即热函;焓是一个状态函数,

也就是说,系统的状态一定,焓的值就定了。
