In summary, the design approaches taken by both city managers (Government to Citizen) and civil society (Citizens to Government) reveals distinct objectives. Governments pursue a better way to get and provide data and information about the city. Citizens may be searching for like-minded people to
support a common cause.

Although the application consists of mainly Social Communication features, based in our literature review, we believe that Gamification features could significantly enhance the user engagement.

Based on our methodology, we can concluded that both applications need to improve in terms of engagement
and social features to achieve a large amount of current users, showing that there is still a gap to design better
interfaces to foster a tight communication between citizens and governments.
