An audio-visual cultural “tour” of the Middle East covering Art, Music, Dance, Film, and Literature. Food, language and clothing will also be discussed. The nations of this region are very distinct countries, each with their own unique culture. From Schecherezade to Om Kolsum and Omar Khayyam to Orhan Pamuk, the art of the Middle East continues to influence our own Western culture. Tuesday October 15 2:30 – 4:00 pm $10 Ronelle Delmont, long-time resident of Greenwich Village, was a newcomer to Florida's book review and lecture circuit when she began an unexpected career in public speaking. Her stimulating book and lecture topics are always meant to provoke thought and be entertaining at the same time. As a Hunter College drop-out in the 60s, Ronelle eventually graduated from Florida International University with a degree in International Relations in 1996 and her varied interests and lecture topics have made her one of South Florida’s most popular speakers. An audio-visual cultural “tour” of the Middle East covering Art, Music, Dance, Film, and Literature. Food, language and clothing will also be discussed.
