A Day in the Life:Nyaya Health Country Director

7:58am – Gregory sits at his desk in his office, answering

emails and making plans for the day.

8:38am—Gregory takes his breakfast with the staff of Bayalpata Hospital in the hospital staff kitchen, where

he takes all of his meals.

9:32am—Gregory conducts the morning hospital staff meeting.

12:39pm – Gregory examines the

construction of a new custom-made L-

shaped table for the Emergency Room clinical station.

2:49pm – Gregory interviews a candidate

for a new staff physician job

(standing outside on the hill next to the Hospital, where the

mobile phone network is stronger than in the

office).

3:32pm—Gregory discusses landscaping work with Budha dai, Bayalpata Hospital’s

Director of Groundskeeping.

4:14pm – Gregory discusses future site renovations with an engineer from the local government office, who will help to prepare measurements and design plans for the

new building.

5:28pm—Gregory meets with Accountant Chanakya Uphadya to finalize the new Bayalpata Hospital Financial

Guidelines for the upcoming fiscal year.

8:16pm – Gregory takes supper with his friends Lalit, the Police Inspector, and long-term Nyaya team member Lal
