Workshop in EEE

The Association of Electrical Engineers of

LBRCE, in collaboration with IIT-Bombay

and ARK Technologies Pvt. Ltd organized a

Two-Day National level Workshop on

"Internet of Things" on 5th & 6th Aug‟16.The

workshop was inaugurated by Dr.E.V.Prasad,

Director. Mr.Aditya, Design Engineer from

ARK Technologies was the lead resource

person of the workshop, attended by a large

number of participants. Dr.M.Umavani, HOD

was the coordinator-mentor of the event.

Exploring the wonders of @ Big Data Workshop

Organized a 5-Day Workshop on "HADOOP ECO

SYSTEMS" under the aegis of ISTE LBRCE Student

Chapter during the period i.e.30th Aug-3rd

Sept‟16.While inaugurating the event, Dr.E.V.Prasad,

Director advised students to take keen interest in

mastering concepts in Data Sciences including Big Data, analytics for better employability. V.Nagaraju,

Consultant from Training service provides, Big Data

Mines acted as the lead resource person in the

program.Dr.N.Ravi Shankar, HoD, CSE coordinated the program.

Leading the way: Top brass @ Governing Council Meet

The Annual meeting of the Governing Council-

the Apex decision-making body of the college

was conducted on 27th August 2016 in the

college. The meeting chaired by Sri.G.Srinivasa

Reddy, President, LBRCE deliberated on a

number of important academic, administrative

& developmental matters before according its

approval. Dr.E.V.Prasad, Director made the

keynote presentation to the council. Among

others, Dr.Udaya Bhaskar, Chairman, APPSC,

Dr.Ramchandra Raju,VC,RGUKT attended the

meeting.



Building a Sporting culture…

National Sports Day @ LBRCE

In commemoration of the Birth Anniversary of

Sporting Legend, Dhyanchand, LBRCE

celebrated National Sports Day on 29th Aug‟16.

Dr.E.V.Prasad, Director while inaugurating the

programme, exhorted all to pursue active interest

in Sports. Friendly games in Cricket, Volley Ball

& Badminton were conducted for Male Faculty

whereas, Female members participated in Throw

ball, Badminton & Tennikoit. Mr.Raj Kumar,

Physical Director led the team that coordinated

the event.

Organized a Guest Lecture on “Job

Opportunities in NCC Army Wing” on 04th

Aug‟16. Sri.Vijay Kumar, Regional

Superintendent, NCC-Army acted as the resource

person of the program. Ms.Vanaja, Deputy

Physical Director coordinated the program. Girl

students of all academic programmes participated

in the event.

Problem Solving & Data Structures

Organized a 5-Day Workshop on "Problem Solving and Data Structures for Employability

Enhancement" under the aegis of CSI LBRCE

Student Chapter during the period. i.e. 30th Aug- 3rd Sept‟16. Dr. E.V. Prasad, Director inaugurated

the program and emphasized the eternal relevance

of „C‟ Language for better employability. Training

service providers, i.e. Top Fresher,Hyderabad provided intensive hands-on training to B.Tech IV

year students of CSE & IT. Dr. D.Nagaraju, HoD,

IT coordinated the program.

Dr.T.V.Naga Lakshmi, Asst Professor in the

Department of Freshmen Engineering awarded

the degree of DOCTOR OF PHOLOSOPHY

(Ph.D.) in Chemistry by Acharya Nagarjuna

University, Guntur under the guidance of

Dr.Immanuel, Acharya Nagarjuna University for

her thesis “Preparation and Characterization of

Activated Carbons of Jack Fruit PPI-1 Waste For

Adsorption of Various Classes of Dyes”. The

Management, Director, Faculty, Staff & Students

congratulated her on her attainment of the highest

academic degree.
