Sharing God’s Word with All Generations!

A Few Traits of a Godly Father A Godly Father Loves His Wife

A man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Genesis 2:24

By loving his wife, a Godly father secures the foundation of the family and helps teach his children the love of their Heavenly Father.

A Godly Father Continues to Grow

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man

of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

By continuing to study the Holy Scriptures, a Godly father grows in faith and hope. The Holy Spirit transforms him day-by-day into

a man after the Lord’s own heart.

A Godly Father Teaches Constantly

These words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when

you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Deuteronomy 6:6-7

A Godly father uses the events of everyday life to communicate to their children the eternal truths of the Christian faith.

A Godly Father Repents When He is Wrong If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9

A Godly father admits when he is wrong, confesses his fault, and asks for forgiveness. In this way he demonstrates the grace of the Lord

not only for his own life, but also for his children.

Hello, my name is Allen Osmin. My sister Clare

and I started coming to Bethlehem in Preschool in the 3

year old class. This is where I started learning about Jesus.

Miss Tammy and Miss Tess taught me about the Lord and

how to pray. My family started coming to Bethlehem

Lutheran Church in 2008. We would come on Sundays, we

sat in the back of the church as my mom was worried of

how noisy my sister and I was. For a long time the pastor

told my parents to sit in front of the church and the noise of

us would be fine. That is where we sit now. Over the years my

family have been growing in the faith by learning the bible. By watching my parents learn

about Jesus it has taught me to learn about him myself. My sister and I was baptized on

March 11, 2012. This started my journey and understanding in my faith. As I entered

Kindergarten I went to the Hermiston Christian Center, where I started learning scriptures

from the bible. This gave me a start of what the bible had to say.

Having faith in Jesus in my life now as a young man has impacted me to

make good decision by following what the bible has taught me. Having a family

that believes in Jesus and in the bible it has helped me stay strong in my faith. As I look

around in my school and the World I can see what happens when you don’t have faith.

People do drugs, they do crime, and many people have heartaches or disappointment and

they don’t know who to turn to. This is where having faith would help you get through the

heartaches and keep you on tract of making the right decision by not doing drugs or crime.

As I grow in to adulthood, I will learn more about Jesus and the bible. By

keeping my faith in Jesus this will get me through decisions that I will have to make when

there is peer pressure that is in front of me or by different choices that I need to make. I

believe that my faith will guide me to make the right choices and keep me learning about

Jesus and the bible.

Hello, my name is Marina Frasser and the journey of

my faith began when I entered preschool where I started

learning about Jesus and how God loves me and loves

everyone else. After my first-time attending church, I felt like

it will be a nice way to learn more about God and his son

Jesus. I want to do my confirmation to show my faith in the

God and to show to the church how interested I am to be part

of the congregation.

Two years ago, I started confirmation classes and

I was excited but very nervous. I was and still am shy

during classes but got a little more comfortable over the two

years because how nice people treat me, is like we are family

in church.

My goals are to continue learning about God and our savior Jesus who

died on the cross for our sins and to show God’s love for humanity. I now

believe that my relationship with God has grown much

more than before I started my confirmation classes. I feel

closer to God as I continue to learn about him.

I plan to use all my knowledge that I have

gained during the past years to get closer to my

family and in the future teach my kids and

family as I grow old. I now know if I keep my faith in

God, I can continue to be a good Christian with the help

of the church and my family and as I continue to grow

more into the love and my faith in God.
