The 2017 Christmas Offering

The 2017 Christmas Offering will be utilized by the FBC Missions Team to provide funds for both interna-tional and local mission efforts. Today through De-cember 31, a special Christmas Offering envelope will be included in the worship bulletin each Sunday for use. International Missions—Along with other Southern Baptist Churches, our contributions to The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering fund nearly 60% of the work accomplished through the Southern Baptist In-ternational Missions Board (IMB). Named for a coura-geous Southern Baptist missionary who served in Chi-na at the turn of the 20th century, this offering is used exclusively to help provide the day-to-day sup-port for missionaries sent around the globe by South-ern Baptist Churches. Every penny given to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering supports missionaries as they make disciples throughout the world. Local Missions—First Baptist Church will focus our efforts on assisting needy families with children. FBC will work with local help agencies such as Love INC (In The Name of Christ), Sozo Kids, and Interfaith Emer-gency Services (IES) in Ocala. The team will also seek to assist with needs through our ongoing partnership with Stanton-Weirsdale Elementary School. Today and throughout December, The Missions Team is hosting tables in The Gathering Hall each Sunday. The team members will be happy to share information and answer any questions you may have.

THE TEAM WILL ALSO SHARE HOW YOU CAN HONOR OR MEMORIALIZE

SOMEONE SPECIAL WITH A GIFT TO THE 2017 CHRISTMAS OFFERING.
