A New Start for EBTs?

Changes introduced by the disguised remunera-tion legislation have shaken up the trustee world and still represent a major challenge – a chal-lenge that is best tackled if fully understood. However, the government’s keenness to encour-age employee share ownership is an encouraging sign for EBTs. The Nuttall Review embraces the shares in trust model of employee ownership and should spark a new wave of business for Guern-sey trusts. A representative of the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and governmental adviser Graeme Nuttall will be part of the high-level speaker line-up addressing delegates at the con-ference.
