A Reflection from the desk of the Pastor…November 3, 2019 Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time Year C Most people we read about in the Bible claimed a call from Christ either as a personal invitation or through the public preaching of Jesus. Others probably looked for Jesus to cure their affliction. But Zacchaeus was different. He was a successful businessman. He had worked hard to move up the success ladder, which earned him the title —chief. He was wealthy. Although Zacchaeus profession seems to separate him from the

Call to Worship

Good morning and Welcome to Sacred Heart Church. Today is the Thirty-First Sunday in ordinary time. In the gospel, a man named Zacchaeus—a chief tax collector desires to see Jesus. But because he was short in stature, and the crowd was big, he decided to climb a sycamore tree in order to see Jesus. Surprisingly to him, when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and asked Zacchaeus to come down for salvation has come to his house. Please rise and join in singing hymn no…and know that God is good all the time.
