This state is littered with hot springs from big commercial operations like Glenwood Hot Spring to smaller outÀts such as the Historic Wiesbaden Hot Springs & Lodge in Ouray. There are so many hot springs in Colorado that picking the right one can be difÀcult. Many Coloradans grew up going to Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. Today it is still an excellent destina- tion for families. Adults and children love the extra-large pool that has been drawing people to Glenwood Springs for more than 125 years. A stay at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge means you and your family soak for free and get a free breakfast too. Over the summer a new hot springs venue opened in Glenwood Springs. Iron Mountain Hot Springs sits alongside the Colorado Riv- er. It has multiple mineral pools and a large family pool the kids will enjoy. The tiered pool area is spa- like with soft music playing throughout the venue. Parents must accompany their children (age 5 to 13) in the mineral pools at Iron Mountain Hot Springs and there are quiet sections as well, making this the per- fect place for an adults-only getaway. If you are looking for a romantic getaway to a Colorado hot springs this winter, The Springs, in Pagosa Springs, is an excel- lent option. While it’s a good des- tination for families too, there is a large adult-only section, making it ideal for a romantic retreat. The Springs is a large resort with onsite lodging that ranges from mo- tel-style accommodations to luxury rooms at the ExoLuxe Hotel, the newest building on the property. One major bonus of stay- ing at The Springs is that guests have 24-hour access to the hot spring pools. There’s nothing better than watching a sunrise while soaking high above the Colorado River. There are two other hot springs options in Pago- sa Springs. Overlook Hot Springs Spa is the place the locals go. Most of the pools are inside, making this a cozy option for extra chilly days. Healing Waters Resort and Spa is another affordable option with on- site accommodations. If you’d like to add some winter adventure sports into your getaway, a trip to Ouray is in order. Spend the morning ice climbing at the famous Ouray Ice Park or snowshoeing one of many trails in the area and then spend the afternoon soaking in the Ouray Hot Springs Pool. For those who prefer a different sort of experience, Orvis Hot Springs, just 12 minutes outside of Ouray, is a Garden of Eden, you can even opt to soak nude if you wish. Orvis has lodging available and one of their cabins is even marijuana friendly. & MAKE IT A GREAT DAY Sudoku is a number placing puzzle based on a 9x9 grid with several given numbers.
