ABB in Finland Working for a sustainable world ABB is a leading power and automation technology company with about 135,000 employees in around one hundred countries, on every continent. ABB is one the leading industrial employers in Finland and the biggest employer in the capital region of Helsinki. ABB also is the number one industrial maintenance operator in Finland. ABB has almost 7,000 employees in Finland in more than 30 locations. The plant locations are Helsinki, Vaasa and Porvoo. ABB‘s solutions result in more effective energy production, transfer, distribution and use, and contribute to taking on the energy and climate challenge. Increasing energy efficiency is the most significant way of cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 2050. In 2010, for example, the amount of power saved by ABB‘s frequency converters corresponded to the annual power consumption of 65 million European households. At the same time, annual carbon dioxide emissions of more than 55 million cars were avoided. ABB is a technology leader company and one of the strongest product developers in Finland.
