Last year his home was broken into while his daughter was in the house. Teachers for the growing creche. Pray for part time job for wife Emma to pay her room and board in Pretoria while attending nursing school. * Pastor Jeffrey - Wisdom and guidance as he leads his church. He is a young Pastor in the footsteps of the founding Pastor. A home for his family. They are currently living on the church property in a home but need space and privacy for family. * Attendance by church leaders at March Leadership Workshop for the rural churches. Pray for the Pastors * Provision for the pastors and their families. Their congregations are unemployed and under-employed. This means there is little to nothing to tithe. The Pastor’s family often makes the sacrifice. * Pastor Paul - Beginning a Saturday, Kingdom Kids, community reach program. A small group from Eastside is going once a month. Pray for children to come and hear about Jesus. * Pastor Silas- Favor with the Dept. of Social Welfare for the licensing of the center. Praise! The well was dug and the garden is growing. Workers to help with garden and ECD. Silas & Emma doing it all. Pray for the Ministry *Prayer of Thanksgiving! Donations of well and trees for Rock of Ages. Dept. of Education sent Charity Christian a great deal of ECD teaching supplies. So much that Pastor Amos is sharing with Rock of Ages. Churches helping churches! Family to Family was a success! 400 family food parcels sponsored in December! *Wisdom and discernment - Our second year is a strategy development year. Praying we are practical and listening closely to the Lord’s plans and not our own. *Finances- Continued resources from Change for Changed Lives and ECC Feeding Challenge to provide food for the ECDs. Thanks to SunGardens Nursery School (ECC) for monetary donation to purchase food parcels and books. Prayer Guide 2014 – Issue #1 Two of now 80 children attending ECD at Rock of Ages. Pray for funding to provide food, caregivers, and supplies to teach. ECD classroom furnishing needs- money for wood, etc. to build shelves; sleeping pads for children ($1000). Money to cover cost of reproducing curriculum. Leadership Workshop, March 2014. Ask the Lord to identify and help us secure the right teaching teams. Financial provision for the Pastors and their lay leaders to attend. Last year 80 attended. Pray for 100 this year! Partnership Development -Build associations with businesses as financial partners. There have been several to date! Pastor Riaan is meeting with area business men to cast vision and give them the opportunity to partner with assisting the orphaned and vulnerable. Pray for ability to complete 501c3 (Non- profit status). Pastor Paul Serving Porridage at Saturday Kid’s Club. Pray For Resources to Continue Reaching the Children in His Community. Feeding the bodies, minds, and hearts of vulnerable and orphaned children in South Africa Pray for Us Personally * Lonnie injured his finger the end of 2013. Pray for full recovery as he rehabs. * Debbie balancing field work with administrative tasks. Specifically for our children- * Full time job for Kelsey that will provide health insurance for them. * Michael and Christine as they prepare for their wedding in September. Both are in new jobs. * Rebecca and Josiah as they navigate the process of David’s adoption. Also as they prepare to return to South Africa in 2015 as full time missionaries with Abba’s Pride. * The health of our parents, Lonnie’s father Jim Warren and Debbie’s mom Sherleen Payne. Arise, cry out in the night...pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.
