How can I use the review process to make sure that I have mastered the standards needed for the CRCT?

ABC Book CRCT Review Overview

• In your ABC Book, each letter will represent a different standard. (For example, A is for Antecedent.)

• Each day we will review three standards by completing three exercises (three letters) in your booklet.

ABC Book – Front Page (A)• Before you do anything else on

the upper right hand corner of the page please put your name and period.

• In the lower right hand corner start labeling pages with the alphabet. You will be using the front and back of all pages.

• Choose a topic or theme for your book. You will use this topic throughout the ABC book, so make sure you know a lot about it!!!!

Antecedent

1. Define antecedent.

2. Write two sentences about your topic that contain an antecedent.

3. For each sentence, draw a box around the pronoun and arrow back to the antecedent.

1. Define the following writing genres: narrative, persuasive, expository, and technical.

2. Describe which genre would contain your nonfiction topic.

2. Then write three sentences about your topic. All of the above parts of speech need to be labeled one time somewhere in your sentences.

2. Record the purple box of coordination conjunctions and green box of correlative conjunctions in the grammar handbook.

3. Then write four sentences about your topic. Underline all of your conjunctions.
