Project Name: Continuous Integration Build (CIB) Position: TERADATA DeveloperOrganization: Teradata Corporation, Hyderabad

I serve as the associate involved in testing the interaction of new features with the existing ones and to identify & report the issues caused by the part of the code or RFC’s as soon as we encounter, with which we can easily identify the root cause for the issue and can be fixed in less time to meet the timeline for the product to be GCA (General Customer Availability).

Roles and Responsibilities: Every day new code will be merged to the existing code in the form of 3 cycles/day and we need to identify the new

issues caused by the merging of new features and distinguish whether it is a DBS bug or a test script issue which is caused by the interaction of new features

If it is a DBS bug, then need to identify the piece of code which caused the issue by attaching gdb or by setting break points and need to report it to the concern developer with full info which includes failing query with expected & actual result, simplified reproducible scenario and back traces with Dumps saved in the logs (if any).

If it is a test script issue, then need to modify the script to attain the exact functionality for which the test script has developed.

If any blocker issue encountered, then need to report it to the concern developer by notifying the RA (Release Architect) and make sure that this issue should be resolved by the next cycle.

Irrespective of the issue whether it is a DBS bug or test script issue we need to document it in tool named JIRA which is helpful for tracking/identifying the new from known issues.

Need to re-generate data files as per new code to accommodate the new features in the existing ones.

Project Name: E-Fix for Customer site Position: TERADATA Test Engineer Organization: Teradata Corporation, Hyderabad

I serve as the associate involved in the E-FIX (Emergency Fix) project. As part of this project worked for Customer site to deliver Teradata new release builds as per their requirement and also for GCA (General Customer Acceptance) builds.

Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for testing and releasing Teradata builds to specific Customer site as P1 E-FIX.(2 Days) and for General

Customer Acceptance as P2 E-FIX.(5 Days) Preparation of Test execution plans for the testing Teradata builds. Involved in installation of Teradata packages in test servers including PDE, TDBMS etc. Finding the bugs related to Teradata code for the Customer builds and reported to Frontline for necessary

action. Involved in Customer builds as well as GCA builds testing on all SMP and MPP machines with different

platform with different configured. Executed Replication test cases a part of E-Fix builds for TD12 and TD13. Released 41 E-fix (P1 and P2) builds for TD12.0, 13.0 and 13.10 releases.
