HOW TO SEARCH ON
ABI/INFORM COMPLETE
The first search option is the Basic Search which can be located on the homepage. Note the options for full text and peer reviewed search results.
The Advanced Search can also be located from the homepage.
You may type your query or queries into these
search boxes.
You may choose where you would like to search in
these drop down boxes.
The Advanced Search also gives you options like full text, peer reviewed, publication date, document type, source type, and
NAICS code to search by.
The next search tool is the
Command Lineoption.
Type your search using
command line syntax (shown in the example
above the search box).
You may limit your search by full text, peer
reviewed articles, and by
publication date.
You may sort your results by
things like relevance and
date.
The next search tool is the Data
& Reports option.
You can look up a specific company, location, industr
y, or market.
You may narrow your search by selecting the
type of research and reports you
want to view.
The next search tool is the Find Similar option.
Enter text from a document here. ABI/INFORM will
identify key terms you’ve entered and search for related
documents.
The next search tool is the Look
Up Citation option.
This tool allows you to find a document based on citation
information (ISSN, ISBN, Docume
nt ID, etc.)

The final search tool is the
Publications option.
You can search through publications
at the top of the page.
You can narrow the list with the options
on the right.
This tool provides a complete list of ABI/INFORM’s
publications and is sorted
alphabetically.
