ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education is a pioneering technical institute in South India, run by the Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE)Society with Janab Dr. A. P. Majeed Khan as the Chancellor of the University. Dr. A. P. Majeed Khan, a visionary leader of NICHE has taken great initiatives to establish world class infrastructure in the domains of Cloud Computing, Robotics, Bio-Medical, Aerospace and marine engineering. NICHE developed its own satellite NIUSAT. The satellite was launched by Polar satellite Launching Vehicle (PSLV) with the help of ISRO. It is built to provide multispectral imagery for agricultural crop monitoring and disaster management support application. The University Campus is located at Kumara-coil, Thuckalay in Kanyakumari District of Tamilnadu.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 1989. The department offers UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in Computer Science and Engineering. The department is engaged in research activities in the domain of Cloud Computing, Sensor Networks, Mobile Networks, Wireless Network Security and Image Processing.
