ABSTRACT
This research study looks into the effects of migration incidence to the economic
stability which fall under three parameters, namely; unemployment, inflation, and
income fluctuation rates. This paper studies labor migration incidence as a dynamic
phenomenon, motivated by the household’s views on economic opportunities in other
places and how this decision affects the current economic condition in the place of
destination. The data were gathered from different government offices and agencies
where it will be used for theoretical analysis, hypothesis testing and empirical
applications. This paper addresses the question of how migration trends over decades
influence the economic stability, the laborer’s wage rate after the migration occurs, and
how strong the statistical togetherness of migration among three dependent variables.
This paper develops and illustrates a set of tools for empirical work based on theoretical
framework and methodological approach for retrospective analysis. The data were
properly processed in the SPSS for testing the Correlation and Multivariate Analysis of
Variance. Moreover, the empirical results show that migration incidence in Zamboanga
City has statistical significance to the economic stability of the entire Zamboanga
Peninsula. Thus, this thesis explores and proves that migration incidence is one of the
economic phenomena that some state economy should consider to be able to stabilize
the economy.
