ABSTRACT This study analyzes the effect of leadership style on job satisfaction of employees in the Department of Public Works Banjar. The problem that arises is how to improve employee satisfaction. The research method used is an explanatory survey. Considering that the method not only explain or describe the empirical facts that encountered in the field but also will explain the analysis of the effect, partially or simultaneously. The study used 65 respondents and all respondents were employees of the Department of Public Works Banjar. The steps in the research conducted by analyzing data using path analysis testing. Based on the results obtained by analysis of the influence of situational leadership style variable that consists of the characteristics of instruction, consultation, participation and delegation to employee satisfaction (Y) which is influential of 61.0%. While the remainder is 39.0% influenced by other variables that not examined in this research.
