ABSTRACT

As a part of our project titled “SMART AMBULANCE

CONTROL”. The main aim of this project is to design and implement a

micro-controller based controller to control the movement of an

intelligent ambulance vehicle which would have control to traffic load.

We intend to modify the existing system of traffic signaling at

junctions by using smart traffic controller. We have identified that in the

present day scenario; most of the valuable time of the ambulance’s

carrying patients is wasted due to fixed time limit. This limitation can be

overcome by using smart traffic controller .Due to wastage of time we

loose precious life as there is a delay in reaching the hospital on time.

We are implementing this project using IR transmitter IR receiver

magnetic transmitter magnetic receiver and signal indicator. At the

ambulance, an LED is present which transmits the infrared signal as

bursts of non-visible light. At the receiving end a photodiode or

photoreceptor detects and captures the light pulses, which are then

processed to retrieve the information they contain. The IR transmitter

would be placed over the ambulance car and IR and magnetic Receivers

would be placed on each side of the traffic signal. When the ambulance

approaches IR receiver, the microcontroller interrupts red signal and

indicates green signal in direction of the ambulance. After crossing the

IR and magnetic receiver, the microcontroller resets to its original state

and function normally.

In conclusion we would like to say that the system will be able to

overcome the shortcomings of the existing systems by reducing human

death and complexity.
