The Other Song Academy

The Other Song is a medical and education-al centre in Mumbai, India, where a team of more than 35 homeopathic physicians work under the leadership of Dr Rajan Sankaran. A world-renow-ned homeopa thic physician, thinker, teacher and devis-er of homeopathic healing systems, Dr Sankaran grad-uated as a Gold Medallist from the Bom-bay Homeopathic Medical College. He is an alumnus of Aurangabad University, where he completed his Master’s degree. Known for his revolutionary ideas and visionary approach, Dr Sankaran’s deep insights have had a profound influence on the thinking and activities of today’s homeopaths. His important contributions to homeopathy include a detailed classification of reme-dies within the periodic system of miner-als, as well as his work with the kingdoms and sub-classifications of plant and animal kingdoms in relation to homeopathy. Find-ing a vital sensation in the client is a crucial aspect of the Sensation Method and, with regard to this, Dr Sankaran talks about the seven levels of experience within man. His ideas and insights, and his style of teaching and writing, make him a popular teacher

Annah Academia

Annah Academia is an education program held in Zagreb, Croatia, in Annah Centre for Homeopathy and Support of Health. The mission of Annah Centre is to spread the skills and knowledge in the filed of homeop-athy and related healing methods, to con-tribute to the development of homeopathy and related methods as acknowledged and appreciated medical methods, for the well-being of people and community, and to sup-

port the clients and their families in their personal, emotional and health progress. The owner of Annah Centre and director of Annah Academia is Ana Šafran, Ph.D.

Ana Šafran

Dr Ana Šafran completed a programme of classical and French homeopathy in Za-greb. She devoted herself to many years of learning from the world’s best homeopaths, including Dr Rajan Sankaran. She has visit-ed The Other Song International Academy of Advanced Homeopathy in India several times, where she participated in practical and professional training, specialising in both the Sensation Method and the ‘8 Box’ method of homeopathy.

Alongside homeopathy, Ana works with several complementary methods. She is a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner. She is also the first certified teacher for Bach flower remedies in Croatia. She has edited a number of works by Dr Edward Bach in the Croatian language, and prepared and edited a book on Bach flower remedies. She is a consultant for Schuessler’s tissue salts and facial analysis. She is also an international

teacher for Schuessler salts and facial anal-ysis, and a certified trainer for the interna-tional education of teachers for Schuessler salts and facial analysis. She is a certified practitioner for Australian Bush Flower Es-sences and an accredited practitioner of the Buteyko breathing method. Ana says: ‘Homeopathy is my great love … something I greatly enjoy … that’s what God has given me as a gift, a talent and my life mission.’

Of all the homeopathic methods she has studied over the years, Ana most enjoys working with the Sensation Method, which she describes as ‘a mixture of homeopathy, psychology and detective work’.

India, as a country of advanced homeop-athy, along with The Other Song Acade-my, are constant sources of inspiration for Ana, and she is always happy to travel there. This unique four-year programme of educa-tion has been created in partnership with India’s The Other Song International Acade-my of Advanced Homeopathy, headed by Dr Rajan Sankaran.

The programme is being offered in Croatia for the first time thanks to a collaboration between the Annah Centre for Homeopathy and Support for Health, Zagreb, and Dr San-karan’s The Other Song International Acade-my of Advanced Homeopathy, India.

The idea behind the course was to create an education programme that would provide students with enough knowledge, practice and time to master case studies, working with repertories and remedy analysis to ar-rive at the optimum solution in the selection of remedies. To achieve this, students require more than two years of education. Experi-ence has shown that, having completed two years of education, homeopaths often still lack sufficient confidence to select proper homeopathic remedies for each case-study. Annah Academia leads you through this ho-meopathic education programme, ensuring that you gain the experience, practice, skills and confidence in choosing the homeopathic remedies.

The aim of the programme is to transfer knowledge and skills in the field of classical homeopathy, according to Dr Samuel Hahne-

mann, complementing this with application of the latest findings and achievements of modern homeopathy. The programme draws on the rich clinical experiences of Indian ho-meopaths, adapting these to European and Croatian conditions. Lectures are interactive, live and via Skype, so that participants can address questions to the lecturers and dis-cuss specific topics with them, referring to actual cases of homeopathic practice.

This international program is open for the enrollment of students from abroad, from all parts of the world. The lectures are held entirely in English language, which prepares our students for the work in the global en-vironment, with clients from all parts of the world.

The student should attend 80% of the total number of lecture hours in each year. Stu-dent can follow the lectures online via webi-nar if they are unable to attend live lectures at Annah.

At the end of each year, a certificate to in-dicate completion of that year will be given, showing the number of hours of theoretical and practical education achieved.

At the end of the fourth year, participants will be awarded a joint certificate on their successful completion of the programme, signed by Annah and The Other Song, show-ing the number of hours of theoretical and practical education achieved.

FEES

• The one-time fee for enrolment on the full four-year programme is 2.625,00 kn (350 euro).

• The annual tuition fee is 12.000 kn (1600 euro), with the possibility of payment in monthly instalments, per module.

• In case of abandoning the programme, An-nah d.o.o. reserves the right to retain the enrolment fee, which will not be refunded to participants. Neither will any refund be given for modules already undertaken.

PREREQUISITES: Knowledge of English is the only prerequisite for attending this pro-gramme, as all of the lectures will be held in English language. In addition, the use of homeopathic software and literature during the programme requires knowledge of Eng-lish.

Students from both medical and non-medi-cal professions are welcome to enrol in the programme. For non-medical professionals, we can provide additional education in the field of basic medical knowledge; this is op-tional and not covered within the four-year programme.

No previous knowledge of homeopathy is re-quired: the programme is suitable for both beginners in homeopathy and those who al-ready have some knowledge of homeopathy and wish to enrich this. The programme may be of interest to existing homeopaths who wish to complete a four-year programme in homeopathy, which is performed in collab-oration with The Other Song Academy from India.

PROGRAMME START DATE: September 2019., second generation of stu-dents.

MONTHLY LECTURES: Lectures will be held monthly, on Fridays from 15.00 to 21.00 and on Saturdays from 9.30 to 16.30 (Zagreb time). Friday lectures will be presented by Annah and Saturday lectures by The Other Song Academy. Each academic year begins in September and ends in June.

DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME: The to-tal duration of the programme is four years (480 hours of teaching). Each year’s class-es are divided into ten modules, totalling 20 days (120 hours of teaching). In addi-tion, participants are obliged to undertake practical work with case studies, within the number of hours prescribed by the pro-gramme. The trainees will spend an addi-tional 500 hours of independent learning on the course, and 220 hours of practical work (independent and mentored practical work on cases), during the four years. In total, the programme calls for 1200 hours of study.

VENUE FOR THE LECTURES: Depending on the number of students enrolled, lectures will be held at the Annah Homeopathy Cen-tre at Domašinečka ulica 4, Vrbani, Zagreb, or at another location in Zagreb of which participants will be informed in good time before the beginning of the lecture. Lec-tures from India will be presented live via Skype, also at a location defined according to the programme schedule. Students from abroad can follow the lectures via webinar, and the accsess to the webinar platform will be available once they are enrolled to the program. According to the possibility to travel to Zagreb and to attend the live lectures in Annah, the international stu-dents can join the live classes, with prior announcement of their arrival.

The programme is being offered in Croatia for the first time thanks to a collaboration between the Annah Centre for Homeopathy and Support for Health, Zagreb, and Dr San-karan’s The Other Song International Acade-my of Advanced Homeopathy, India.

The aim of this programme is to transfer the knowledge and skills of advanced modern homeopathy to homeopathic practitioners according to the Sensation Method devel-oped by Dr Rajan Sankaran. The programme is based on the latest findings and achieve-ments in modern homeopathy, while taking into account the basic principles of classical homeopathy. The programme draws on the rich clinical experiences of Indian homeo-paths, adapting these to European and Cro-atian conditions. Lectures are interactive, live and via Skype, so that participants can address questions to the lecturers and dis-cuss specific topics with them, referring to actual cases of homeopathic practice.

This international program is open for the enrollment of students from abroad, from all parts of the world. The lectures are held entirely in English language, which prepares

our students for the work in the global en-vironment, with clients from all parts of the world.

How does the Sensation Method differ from the classical homeopathic approach?

The Sensation Method differs from classic homeopathic consultation. According to this method, the homeopath needs to recognise in the client’s story a fundamental sensation that is running through all their life experi-ences. In this way, the homeopath gains an insight into the client’s experiences of reali-ty, the world and the circumstances in which she or he lives. That same vital sensation is then used to determine the appropriate ‘kingdom’, and remedies are chosen accord-ing to the kingdom that is characteristic for the client. Dr Sankaran distinguishes be-tween the plant, animal and mineral king-doms of homeopathic remedies. According to the Sensation Method, a homeopathic remedy is selected from only one kingdom, whose characteristics and sensations have been revealed. Using the Sensation Method it is possible to determine the appropriate remedy for the client with great certainty.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS

The opportunity to apply for the WWR (Wednesdays with Rajan) programme at a preferential price, which will be granted exclusively to students of the Annah Ac-ademia postgraduate programme. Those who take up this option will be able to listen to an additional 53 lessons (a total of 102 hours), with lectures available for one year.

PREREQUISITES: To enrol in the programme, it is necessary to hold a certificate of a suc-cessfully completed education program in the field of homeopathy. The programme is suitable for those who already have ad-equate knowledge in the field of homeop-athy and want to enrich their knowledge. Homeopaths who have completed a two- or four-year homeopathy course can apply for this programme. When applying for the pro-gramme, candidates should provide a copy of their certificate in homeopathy.

Students from both medical and non-medi-cal professions are welcome to enrol in the programme.

Knowledge of English is an important pre-requisite for attending this programme as all of the lectures will be held in English lan-guage. Knowledge of homeopathic software for repertorisation is also desirable.
