In an interview with Mr. Felix Tablatin Sr. fromer brgy. Captain. He said that before the year 1923, school children had their schooling at Moncada Intemediate School (now Moncada North Central Elementary School).

Then in 1923, a primary school was established. It was a makeshift school structure with Grades I and II, Mrs. Cabralda being the teacher and grades III and IV, with Miss Hotsie as the teacher. This was until 1928. In 1929, the building has improved and a grade IV teacher was assigned. He was Mr. Anatacio Baldonado, also assigned as school head until 1947. In 1948, Sta. Monica had its complete elementary school. The following teachers were assigned: Grade I – Rafaela Alegre, Grade II – Rafael Dulay, Grade III – Juan Tablatin, Grade IV – Adoracion Cainglet, Grade V – Corazon Balignasay and Grade VI – Marceliano Tablatin, also assigned as school head. These teachers served here until 1956. In 1957, the following teachers taught in the different grades: Grade I – Benedicta C. Paraon, Grade II – Rafael Alegre, Grade III – Josefina Gumaspas, Grade IV – Rafael Dulay, Grade V- Ignacia Raña, Grade VI – Beatriz Gascon, with Marceliano Tablatin still the school head.

As years went by, different school teachers were assigned. Other school heads assigned were Mrs. Absalon Y. Corpuz, Mr. Rafael Dulay, Mrs. Maria G. Nacino, Mr. Abraham Bagamaspad, Mr. Bernabe M. Ferrer, and Mr. Eusebio S. Afante.

The school is now very proud having produced many successful alumni. At present there are eight (8) teachers comprising the teaching staff, all residents of Sta. Monica with the exception of one, from Bautista, Pangasinan. The present school head Mr. Leopoldo S. Yasay as Principal I.
