Accounting is currently one of the most in demand jobs. Every business establishment and entity

needs an accountant. There are a lot of accounting jobs and opportunities that await those who are

into this field. These can be browsed from a lot of job search sites in the internet. One of the target

jobs of most jobseekers are senior accounting jobs and other high accounting positions. These

positions are so in demand and offer a lot of opportunities and very attractive pay. Most senior

accountants started searching for junior accounting jobs and from the experiences and expertise they

have gathered and learned, were promoted to senior accountants.

To be become a senior accountant, one must finish a four year degree in college. A staff accountant

can become a senior accountant after four to five years on the job. Many senior accountants have

masters degree or are certified public accountant or maybe a certified management accountant.

Computer skills: To become a senior accountant you must have an excellent background in computers,

Math skills: Accounting mostly deals with math. To be able to find senior accounting jobs easily, you

should be good in math. Being good in this will eventually lead you to higher positions such as senior

Good communication skills: Senior accountants need to communicate effectively with other staffs. That

includes having a good verbal and writing skills. An effective communication will make the work easier

and will provide good result. Having good communication skills will encourage the subordinates to

perform their tasks well. Even in any career like commercial accounting jobs, having good

communication skills will help you to succeed in work.

Teamwork: Playing well with the team is important in any job as well as inaccounting jobs. As a

senior accountant, you cannot perform well your jobs if you dont know how to play with your team.

You need to value the importance of other people working for you because they have important roles
