ABOUT JAIN UNIVERSITY Jain University, an intellectual destination that draws inspired students from more than 35 countries to India’s Silicon Valley – Bengaluru, has established with an aim to provide quality education and entrepreneurial development. ABOUT SCHOOL OF COMMERCE STUDIES Empowerment of students, enhancement of values and enrichment of academics & research has been the hallmark of the School of Commerce Studies, JAIN University for nearly three decades. The constant innovations nurtured in its various spheres of functioning, which include global tie-ups such as ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CIPS, etc. and experiential learning practices like Student Immersion Programmes, Entrepreneurs on Training and Business Simulations, amongst others have characterized the growth of the School of Commerce Studies over the years. ABOUT THE CONFERENCEFor the future organizations and management there are new rules with different boundaries requiring unique behaviours to be successful. The role of the human resource managers has metamorphosed from being tactical to strategic to sustainable in business organizations. In today’s changing scenario the HR, sits at the executive table and makes recommendations towards processes, business solutions, and approaches that are likely to improve the ability of the employees to perform better and contribute effectively. They need to do a balancing act by catering to the organization’s customers, owners, executives, employees, managers and stockholders. The importance of an effective and modern HRM function cannot be underestimated within an organization. The Paradigm shift has made the HR function play a key role in addressing the critical success factors for implementing sustainable business practices. In this backdrop, Department of Commerce, SCS, Jain University is conducting a 3rd National HR Conference on “The Paradigm Shift Towards Sustainability”.
