ACHIEVING
EXCELLENCE
Dr. Dheeraj MehrotraAuthor/ Trainer
Excellence
in today’s highly competitive workplace demands more than a thorough knowledge of your specialist filed.
To achieve excellence,
you must work to fulfill your own potential.
Learn to build on your
strengths and to develop the personal
qualities that are the keys to performing well.
Identify your
weakness as the first step to rectifying them.
Do things the easy way – Play to your strengths.
Accept
critical
comments and act to remedy faults.
Form long-term ambitions to help you notice chances to move
forward.
Take
responsibility at the earliest opportunity.
Never be afraid to learn and use the
lessons of your failures.
Remember
to give yourself credit when you know you deserve it.
Make it a rule never to give up easily, but to keep on trying.
When one goal is achieved, set a new, higher one.
Actively seek feedback
on your own effectiveness.
Aim at perfection, even if that
seems impossibly out of reach.
Do not become a hard
taskmaster, but do be a demanding one who helps others to work well.
List the day’s tasks in order of priority, then
tackle them one by one.
Express
plans in words before you go into numbers.
Work more effectively, rather than for longer hours.
Get excited about challenges in a positive manner.
