Notes
Today, the EVOLUTION system’s capacity goes further than
access control through filtering and video-supervision.
With its alarm unit,the EVOLUTION system is able to manage
the armaments and disarmaments, partially or globally,
maintaining the rights and the prerogatives of the alarm unit.
Thus, each system has its own functionalities which can be
provided to the other ones
In this way, the access control will be able to manage the
armaments and disarmament functions from 16 alarm
partitions and the alarm unit will be able to activate and
desactivate up to 16 access profiles.
The EVOLUTION system is compatible with the ACVISION
and PANASONIC IP video systems and with most of the unit
alarms brands.

The Wiegand or Dataclock readers can be integrated into
most of the door controllers.
None decision’s data is integrated into the reader.The
Wiegand and Dataclock formats of communication are
subject to standardized protocls of communication
A reader which communicates in Wiegand has marked
terminals D0( data0) and D1 ( dtata1)
A reader which communicates in dataclock has marked
terminals D(data) and C (clock)
The readers are configurable either by micro-switch or by
programming process
Most of them have free potential leds and sound indicators
of the operations process
The door controller which manages the readers can be put
up to 50m from the Wiegand readers and up to 15m from
the Dataclock readers.
The Wiegand or DataClock frames can be conducted
through wires or by radio waves.That can be very helpfull
for example for a reader of an assembly point or for avoiding
civil engineering works to go from one point to another.It’s
necessary then to use the radio bridge WIN-RAD.

The filtering of a door access is made simply by a standalone
reader
The access level provided by this reader is often all or
nothing!
A more advanced control of the accesses levels is frequently
needed.
Then access request ‘s reader has to be managed through a
remote central panel from which many possibilities will be
selectable.
Thus, an access level will be determined by one or several
time slots,holidays, conditions of access ways, limited
numbers of access,ect.The standalone central panel are self-
sufficient and have their own interface of programmation.
No software is needed. Some standalone central panels have
essential functions of access management whereas others
ones are more advanced and provide historical,options,etc.
In any case a standalone central panel can’t make possible
an extension beyond 2 controlled doors in entrance only or 1
door in entrance and in exit.

The readers with standalone technology, ie without any
communication with a remote element, take their decision
internally.
The standalone readers have a programming interface,
keypad or micro-switch, and an internal memory for users
storage.
The number of users that can be created is from 27 to 800 for
the highest capacity of memory.
Some readers have advanced functions, such as the
activation of an access group, the subjection to an alarm
system, the supervision of the tags batteries or of the remote
controls.
Anyway, the standalone readers haven’t any historical events.
In the case of complicated or expensive civil engineering
works, the standalone readers can be connected to radio
bridges like IO8-RAD.Thus up to 8 relays informations and 8
inputs informations can be relayed.

An identifier is a series of numbers (decimal) or numbers
and letters ( hexadecimal) memorized in a tag or a remote
control
A secret pin is also an identifier when it is tabulated on
keypad.
The indentifier is associated to a memory position of user in
the reader or the remote system, which allows to identify the
person asking access
The 2 main frequencies associated to the Read technology of
proximity tag are 125KHz EM and 13.56MHz MIFARE.
The MIFARE tags have a memory more important than the
EM tags and can be used for others applications than access
control
The tags with MIFARE technology have the Read/Write
function ( can be reprogrammed) whereas the tags with
EM technology have the Read function only. These both
frequencies are subjected to standards.The 868MHz and
2.45GHz are used for the long range technologies.

A door which is controlled by a reader in entrance isn’t
necessary controlled in exit.Usually ,the door is shut after the
user has come in, so you have to find way to go out without
generating any alarm of forced door if the position of the
door is supervised by a magnetic contact. A push button
can be connected to the entrance door dedicated to the
entrance request, standalone reader or the door controller’s
interface for the systems. .The event of the exit request by
push button allows then the opening of the door without
generating a forced door alarm.The exit requests can be
made by pushing a button or by approaching a captor.
The controlled doors of building receiving a public( ERP)
have to be equipped with an additional manual relase for
emergency unlocking.
The accessibilty is an essential factor of the social and
professional integration for the physically handicapped
persons.Obligation since 1975,the law from 2005,February
,11th( for the eguality of the rights and opportunities, the

Several means of lockings are used in the management of
accesses.
The most commonly used are the electric strikes and the
electro magnetic locks
A wide range of aspects and options existes in each line
of products. The fitter has to make the choice the more
adapted according to the access which has to be controlled.
A special attention has to be given to the equipements of
the doors from buildings which are open to the public, to
the exit door, to the senditive doors according to the level of
controlled required.
Thus, do not propose electric stikes or electromagnetic
locks for the doors where the unicity of passage has to be
guaranteed, rather prefer revolving door or tripods.
Prefer means of lockings which have standby time in case of
power cut.
In any case, the knowledge of the current law regarding the
outfeed has to be considered
