BSB51915 DIPLOMA OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

Pathways After successfully completing this course, students may wish to apply for the BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.

Assessments May include any one, more or all of the following: observation, practical activities, written/verbal questioning, case studies, simulated workplace activities, other.

Assessment Due Dates Assessments shall generally be due as follows.• Term 1 – March 31• Term 2 – June 30• Term 3 – September 30• Term 4 - December 31

Intensive Sessions Intensive sessions are face-to-face tuition sessions that we may provide, either directly or through a third-party, subject to a number of conditions including student interest and demand.

These sessions enable struggling students to vastly improve their understanding of assessable course material and their prospects of successfully completing their assessments.

Intensive sessions shall consist of 5 to 10 day blocks and shall, subject to student demand, be scheduled shortly prior to the relevant assessment due dates.

In 2017, it is envisaged, but not yet confirmed, that intensive sessions will take place in the following cities.• Sydney, Australia• Dubai, United Arab Emirates • Kabul, Afghanistan

If confirmed, we anticipate that the intensive sessions shall take place during the following periods.• For units delivered in Term 1 – during March• For units delivered in Term 2 – during June• For units delivered in Term 3 – during September• For units delivered in Term 4 – during December

Sessions may also be arranged in other cities subject to demand.

In is expected that fees for 2017 will be AU$2,250 for 5 day blocks and AU$4,000 for 10 day blocks – payable in advance.

Commitment Students should allocate approximately 4 hours per unit per week for Virtual Classroom attendance (for a full-time load, 12 hours per week and in some weeks, 16 hours). Virtual Classroom sessions shall generally take place after 5 pm Sydney, Australia, time but will be recorded for students to access at any other time. Additionally, students should allocate about 10 hours per week per unit of study for review of materials and tasks, and assessment preparations (for a full-time load this means 30 hours per week and in some weeks, 40 hours).

System Requirements • Reliable broadband internet access• Headset with speakers and microphone (for interactive Virtual Classroom sessions)• Computer with ability to view and edit Word Documents (.doc/.docx), view Adobe Portable Documents (.pdf), view and edit

Other Requirements ACP will provide access to learning materials and may refer students to open source textbooks and videos where deemed appropriate. Access to learning materials shall generally be provided through the Virtual Classroom or by email except for some materials that shall be dispatched in hardcopy to the student at no additional cost. As a general rule, staff and students will have access to: (a) learning and assessment resources; (b) current version of the BSB Business Services Training Package; and (c) Virtual Classroom for the delivery. Students shall arrange access to: (a) computers (including software programs), printers, internet access, headphone, video cameras and microphones; and (b) third parties for the provision of any reports in connection with the assessments, where required.

Candidates may undertake further higher education studies or proceed with studies related to their vocation.
