Weekend Watch ListVirginia Tech at Georgia TechThursday, September 26, 7:30 p.m.

ACC Coastal Division foes go head-to-head Thursday night as Virginia Tech’s 5th-ranked defense goes up against Georgia Tech’s 4th ranked rushing offense. The Yellow Jackets (3-0) and the Hokies (3-1) are the only two schools to claim the ACC Coastal Division title.

No. 13 South Carolina at UCFSaturday, September 28, 12:00 p.m. Central Florida had a monumental win over Penn State in Week 3 and is 3-0 for the first time since 1988. A victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks (2-1) in a sold out Bright House Networks Stadium would likely be the biggest win in program history.

No. 6 LSU at No. 10 GeorgiaSaturday, September 28, 3:30 p.m.

The Georgia Bulldogs (2-1) host the undefeated LSU Tigers (4-0) as they attempt to defeat two top-10 teams at home in the same season for the first time in history. LSU holds a 16-12-1 edge in the series history that dates back to 1928.

No. 12 Oklahoma at No. 22 Notre DameSaturday, September 28, 3:30 p.m.

The Oklahoma Sooners (3-0) seek their 10th 4-0 start under Bob Stoops as they visit Notre Dame (2-1) for the first time since 1999. Oklahoma is seeking to become the first current member of the Big 12 to defeat Notre Dame since Texas beat them in the 1970 Cotton Bowl.

No. 21 Ole Miss at No. 1 AlabamaSaturday, September 28, 6:30 p.m.

The Rebels are 3-0 for the first time since the 1989 season and head to Tuscaloosa looking to become 4-0 for the first time since 1970. The Crimson Tide hold a 46-9-2 series lead over the Rebels, who look to defeat Alabama for the first time since 2003.

Arizona at No. 20 WashingtonSaturday, September 28, 7:00 p.m. Arizona (3-0) ventures into truly hostile territory for the first time this season with a trip to Emerald City to take on the Huskies (3-0) in both schools’ Pac-12 openers. The Wildcats have a tough test ahead of them as Washington has gained 500 yards of total offense in three straight games for the first time in school history.

No. 9 Texas A&M at ArkansasSaturday, September 28, 7:00 p.m. The Razorbacks (3-1) return home to open SEC play against Texas A&M (3-1), hosting the Aggies in Fayetteville for the first time since 1990. Arkansas leads the all-time series 41-25-3 and has won three of the last four matchups against Texas A&M. The Aggies hit the road for the first time in 2013 looking for their first SEC victory.

No. 24 Wisconsin at No. 3 Ohio StateSaturday, September 28, 8:00 p.m.

Columbus, Ohio will be rocking Saturday night as Big Ten Leaders Division rivals Wisconsin (3-1) and Ohio State (4-0) clash in prime time at Ohio Stadium. Wisconsin and its third-ranked rushing offense (349.8 yards per game) will look to put an end to college football’s longest active winning streak owned by Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes (16).

Bowl Selection ProcessThe BCS bowls will select their participants from two pools: (1) automatic qualifiers, all of which must be selected; and (2) at-large teams, if fewer than 10 teams qualify automatically. The following sequence will be used when establishing pairings:

1. The two top teams in the final BCS Standings will be placed in the National Championship Game (NCG).

2. Unless they qualify to play in the NCG, the champions of selected conferences are contractually committed to host selected games: ACC - Discover Orange Bowl; Big Ten - Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO; Big 12 - Tostitos Fiesta Bowl; Pac-12 - Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO; SEC - Allstate Sugar Bowl.

3. If a bowl loses a host team to the NCG, then such bowl shall select a replacement team from among the automatic-qualifying teams and the at-large teams before any other selections are made. If two bowls lose host teams to the NCG, each bowl will get a replacement pick before any other selections are made. In such case, the bowl losing the No. 1 team gets the first replacement pick, and the bowl losing the No. 2 team gets the second replacement pick. If the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO loses both the Big Ten and Pac-12 champions to the NCG, it will receive two replacement picks.

4. For this year’s games, after steps 1, 2 and 3 have been completed, any bowl with an unfilled slot shall select a team from the automatic qualifiers and/or at-large teams in the following order: Orange, Sugar, then Fiesta.

Discover Orange Bowl- FWAA Courage AwardDALLAS (FWAA) - Sam Houston State’s senior linebacker Eric Fieilo is the first weekly nominee for the 2013 Discover Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award that will be announced at the end of the season.

Overcoming a serious neck injury suffered at the beginning of last season, Fieilo leads the Bearkats in tackles a year later.

Early in the first quarter of Sam Houston State’s 2012 season opener against Incarnate Word, Fieilo made a tackle and landed awkwardly. After laying motionless on the field for several minutes, he was immobilized and taken to the hospital. “I really thought I was paralyzed when I was on the floor,” Fieilo told The Houstonian later. “[The trainers] thought I was paralyzed, too. The only thing I could do was move my head.”

After Fieilo regained feeling in his extremities, he was diagnosed with a slipped disc in his vertebrae, which was removed and replaced. Doctors took a bone from Fieilo’s hip to replace the slipped disc. While recovering from the surgery that left scars on his neck and side, Fieilo sat out last season and helped the coaching staff.

Through the first four games of the 2013 season, Fieilo had racked up 28 tackles, two for losses, including one sack. During No.4-ranked Sam Houston State’s only loss of the season to Division I Football Bowl Subdivision Texas A&M, Fieilo intercepted Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel.

Fieilo, married with a child, plans a career in law enforcement. He maintains a 3.00-plus GPA.
