These next-generation KU builders are powered by ACID SUPPRESSION™ Technology to offer more of what you need to make a lasting paint impression, including breakthrough sag-flow balance, no-drip sag resistance, and higher film build and uniformity that facilitates better applied hide. Featuring low as-supplied viscosity, these high performance HEURs are easy to pour and mix during paint formulation. They contain no added solvent or surfactant, making them an excellent choice for meeting low and ultra-low VOC targets.

Enabling TechnologyHigh-efficiency, ultra-low VOC capable ACRYSOL™ Rheology Modifiers feature ACID SUPPRESSION™ Technology. This Dow innovation employs pH-triggered association and thickening to facilitate easy-pouring HEURs with no added solvent or surfactant. The trigger is

“off” at low pH and “turns on” at paint pH. This facilitates low viscosity (<2000 cP) in the as-supplied product and full thickening efficiency in the paint formulation.

At low pH, cations repel and reduce association.

At high pH, neutral amines allow full

association.
