ADICIt’s a non profit organization

whose main priority is to address

The social needs of a poor community.

Founded on April 13, 1970

by Mrs. Luisa Amalia de Vegas,

an experienced social worker,

who became the heart of

this organization.

ADICADIC is the result of the joint effort

of the members of the community, to achieve social

and educational improvements for its members.

Private companies, businessmen and professionals

came together to make it possible to construct the

building by collaborating monetary means,

construction materials and their own knowledge.

Mission

ADIC is a family center whose main objective is to contribute to the acquisition of moral and social conscience and to the integral development of the members of the community, who might, in turn, voluntarily contribute to the well-being of others members of the community

Objectives

The main objective of ADIC is to become a leading, social, self-financed organization. A pilot project of volunteering pro-bono social work for other communities in our country

It provides for the integral well being of small children

of the community. It takes care of their physical,

social, recreational, health-related and nutricional needs

Summer CampsOne of our oldest programs. Children and teenagers

get the opportunity to get together and enjoy games, theater/acting,

hiking and other recreational activities

Sports Programs

Children, teenagers and adults get the opportunity to participate in different sports to promote physical and social health of the community

Children and teenagers come to our library to borrow text books and recreational books

ADIC-Community

Promotes the interaction among members of the community “El placer de Maria”.

Life Skill Courses (cursos de capacitación)

Offers to members of the community the opportunity to learn diverse crafts and arts to eventually achieve financial independence

Community Talk

Promotes interaction with families of the communitiy with the objective of detecting problems and help solve them

Legal Counseling

Attorneys of Law offer pro-bono legal counseling and

support.
