n Operational reports generation to track the impact of your campaigns and pilot your solution, and dynamicreporting capabilities to create your own reports.

Key steps to create and orchestrate a marketing campaign with Adobe Campaign are:

n Preparing - This initial phase allows the user to formalize the need, intention, and objective of the campaign:creating the marketing plan, identifying the target, defining the content and creation mode, expected results, and people involved.

n Targeting - The targeting phase allows the user to define the data collection mode, their structure, theirsegmentation, audiences, seeds and tests, filtering conditions to design, etc. During this phase, you can also setup subscription/unsubscription methods. See About profiles and audiences.

n Designing content - This phase involves creating the delivery/ies, selecting the communication channel, settingup the approval mode. You can also design online pages to acquire or update profiles, and grow your database.See About content designing.

n Testing and sending - The execution phase allows the user to carry out the various validation steps (content, target) particularly via preview screens and by sending a proof to the approvers, before sending. See Abouttesting and sending.

n Monitoring and reporting - Once the campaign has been executed and the different messages have been sent, this stage allows the user to collect the different statuses of the sends, and the tracking and monitoring information. The campaign and delivery reports are generated to track the impact of the campaign and the recipients' activities.See About reporting.

n Automating - During this stage, additional factors such as the import/export mechanism implementation methods, the data management and update modes, personalization data identification, etc. are defined. See About workflowsand data management.

Managing profiles

ProfilesAdobe Campaign profiles represent all of the contacts stored in the database. Each profile corresponds to one entryin the database which contains the necessary information for that profile to be targeted, qualified and individually

tracked. This means that a profile can be: a client, a prospect, an individual subscribed to a newsletter, a recipient, auser, or any other denomination depending on the organization.

The different types of profiles and their management modes are presented in the Profiles section.

Adobe Campaign provides a report that displays the number of active profiles. For more information, refer to Activeprofiles.

TargetingTo enable you to deliver relevant and effective messages, Adobe Campaign integrates advanced analysis and targetingfunctionalities. Thanks to the workflows and the query editor, you can construct audiences that will be targeted byyour marketing campaigns, depending on the information that you have on them, their activities, and their marketinghistory. This allows you to filter subscribed profiles, sample, or create target audiences on an unlimited number ofcriteria.

The mode for creating audiences is detailed in the Audiences section.

Data acquisition

Profiles are individual contacts are centralized in the Adobe Campaign database. Various mechanisms for profileacquisition and creating this database can be used: collecting data online via landing pages, manual or automatedimport mechanisms, direct input in the Adobe Campaign interface, bulk creation through Campaign APIs.

Profiles creation and management are detailed in the About profiles section.

Customizing lists

List screens allow you to display elements of one or several given resources.

Adobe Campaign has two types of lists:

n A "homogeneous" list, which is when it contains a single type of resource. For example, the profile list onlycontains profiles.

n A "heterogeneous" list, which is when it contains several types of resources. For example, the list of marketingactivities contains landing pages, workflows, emails, SMS, etc.

The lists are displayed in columns. Each column can be sorted in ascending or descending order one at a time.

The elements in a list have a checkbox that allows you to select them. By selecting one or several elements, you cancarry out several actions, such as editing, duplicating and deleting these elements.

When hovering over an element in the list, quick actions. These actions allow the user to take various actions onthe element that is hovered over, such as edit, select, delete, or show details.

You can also configure whether columns in a list are to be displayed or not. To add or remove columns:

1 Make sure that the screen is in List mode.

2Go to the list configuration window by selecting the button in the action bar.

18

Page 20: Adobe Campaign Standard - Getting started · Creating a program . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 22 ... Profiles ... n The Customer profilescard takes you directly

3 Add the columns that you want to include in your list. To do this, select a column from the left hand side of the

window, then use the button from the action bar to add a column.

The selectable columns correspond to the list resource.

For each column added, specify whether you want to apply sorting by default:

n NO: No sort on the column

n ASC: Applies an ascending (rising) sort on the column

n DESC: Applies a descending (declining) sort on the column.

4 Delete the columns that you do not want to be displayed by checking the boxes corresponding to the columns

to delete. Then, use the button from the action bar to confirm deleting them.

Programs and campaigns

About plans, programs and campaignsAdobe Campaign allows you to plan marketing campaigns in which you can create and manage different types ofactivities: emails, SMS messages, push notifications, workflows, landing pages. These campaigns and their contentscan be gathered into programs.

The programs and campaigns allow you to regroup and view the different marketing activities that are linked tothem.

n A program may contain other programs as well as campaigns, workflows, and landing pages. It appears in thetimeline and help you organize your marketing activities: you can separate them by country, by brand, by unit, etc.

n A campaign enables you to gather all the marketing activities of your choice under a single entity. A campaignmay contain emails, SMSes, push notifications, direct mails, workflows, and landing pages.

To better organize your marketing plans, Adobe recommends the following hierarchy: Program > Sub-programs >Campaigns > Workflows > Deliveries.

Reports on programs and campaigns allow you to analyze their impact. For example, you can build reports at thecampaign level to aggregate data on all deliveries contained in that campaign.
