Santos and the Elephant Ch. 10-p. 78

This chapter describes a voyage that start off in St. John. Breath was chartered for a weekend trip to Peter Island. (It get a little confusing because there are some random stories of other places mentioned, but I’ll try my best!)

Depart St.John’s via the Sir Francis Drake ChannelMidafternoon reached Deadman’s BayWaiting in the Virgin Gorda Sound for the weather to clear upHad to sail thru the Anegada Passage to St. MaartenMade it thru Anguilla Channel to anchor in Phillpsburg, StMaarten- pg.81Next stop was St.Barths. They dropped anchor at Gustavia’s Harbor. After exploring the island the breeze sailed Breath 40 miles to the island of St. Kitt. The next morning the boat have moved over to Nevis, an island that hadn’t really been discovered or become overrun with hotels and tourists.Moved on to Jalousie Bay in St.Lucia. Anchored beneath the cliffs of Petite Piton, the most famous landmark of a massive rock spire that extends 2,000 ft above sea level. This is where Santos comes into contact with the elephant, they battle it out.The chapter ends with Peter going to say goodbye to the elephant.
